[Review] Le Edge – For Exfoliation Enthusiasts…(or Nuts, like me)

I would definitely classify myself as one who enjoys a good exfoliation.  Whether it be with a shower-poof, a salt scrub,  sugar scrub, or chemical –I’m all for it, and I use all types.  As most of us know, exfoliation helps take the top layer of dead skin off to reveal younger, fresher skin underneath.  In addition to speeding up the skin renewal process, exfoliation also helps get rid of excess dirt and oil left from sweat, makeup, or other products we pile on throughout the day.

Let me introduce you to this wonderful little tool called, Le-edge.  Le-edge looks like a mini ice-scraper that you would use on a car windshield–except it’s for the face and body.  The cool thing about Le-edge is that you don’t need any other products except water to see and feel the results–and you will feel them after the first session!  The tool uses a stainless steel metal edge that you run across  your body or face (following any contours of course) and lifts away the dead skin and leftover gunk.  Its gross and fascinating at the same time (kind of like how a biore strip has that effect on people).

I took some pictures, although I’m not sure if you can really see how well it really picks up a lot of stuff. And this was just with water!

Personally, the areas where I felt the most change was:

1. My neck – My god it feels completely different! So smooth!

2. My feet – I wear a lot of sandals so my feet get dry quick.  This removed a lot of dry skin.

3. My legs – I’m prone to ingrown hairs.  This seems to help in allowing the hair to break through the skin and not curl underneath.

I did my whole body and face, but honestly those were the places where I felt the most difference.  I also want to add that I am an avid self-tanner.  I used this before doing my weekly tan and I think it will help my skin hold the color longer now that I definitely had it applied to fresh “new” skin.

Does it hurt?  No. Do you feel it at all? Yes, I definitely felt it when using it, but it’s not uncomfortable.  I did accidentally run it over a blemish on my face and that kind of hurt- but you just need to be more careful. You are supposed to use it on healthy, intact skin or else you can make your situation worse.

I’m so glad I have this new little tool in my arsenal!  I really like the way my skin feels afterwards and hope that I’ll notice some more results as I continue to use.

Have any questions about my experience with Le Edge?  Leave me a comment and I will answer as soon as possible.
