[Klout Perk!] Essie’s 2012 Summer Collection: Fear or Desire

Hey Everyone! Does everyone know what Klout is? If you’re into social media and haven’t checked it out yet– right-click on this link here to open it up on a new tab. Klout is a website that shows you a measure of someones influence on the web, based on their ability to drive action by others. So basically it means that anytime I write something or engage in conversation with them (tweet, post, blog, whatever) it influences others in some way. I encourage you to check it out, if not just for fun!

One not so new feature of joining the website is that based on your influence rank, you earn the ability to be rewarded with perks on specific topics which could be a freebie of some sort, or a coupon code to a online store, or a online service. And based on my rank, I was awarded a perk from Essie! This was the best perk so far! Thank you Essie and Klout, I was really stoked to hear I was going to get a nail polish gratis.

I was dying to know what I would get—too many options, and too much time to think about it. And then a mysterious “they’ve shipped” message with no tracking arrived in my mailbox. Ohh the anticipation of waiting for my prize felt like it was forever. What was I going to get?!?

I received “Fear or Desire“, which is part of the Essie 2012 Summer Collection. The whole collection looks awesome! I kinda want all of them, and at least I’ve got a starting color, a bright opaque orange. When worn it looks like a bright tangerine and to my surprise was opaque in almost one coat; my only problem was streaking which goes away with additional coats and a thick shiny top coat. I love it. And I had to try it with holo glitter as a top coat also. Loooovee how pretty and juicy this looks in direct sunlight, truly a summer color.

The collection embraces the bright colors found in the summery swimsuit season, with names like, Bikini So Teeny and Off The Shoulder. I can already say I want to get Mojito Madness and Off The Shoulder next! Other colors in the collection include All Tied Up and Cascade Cool. The collection hit stores June 2012 so that means if you like one, you can get it now! I’ll have to check my Beauty Collection for their arrival. You can usually find them at for $8 retail, but I think Target has them for a little cheaper. I think. My next favorite place to shop for things.
