[Review] Lumavera Facial Cleansing Gel & GIVEAWAY!

**product was sent to me for review**

Hey Everyone! Hope you all had a nice holiday this past month, I got the flu over my vacation, but still managed to have a really good New Years eve!

Today, I want to share with you the facial wash I’ve been using for the past 3-4 weeks. Lumavera, a skincare line is known for its use of plant cell technology, and potent antioxidant super foods that fight aging and promote beautiful skin. Antioxidants fight free radical damage while plant cell technology stimulate dermal stem cells renewal. The line is pretty awesome after having a chance to try most of their products, and I like the idea of a brand with no parabens, so sulfates, or harsh chemicals I don’t know. Lumavera is also cruelty-free.

Lumavera’s Facial Cleansing Gel is a extra gentle gel to milk facial wash. I would definitely agree this wash on the gentle side. It’s one of those washes that turns into a milky emulsion to cleanse without stripping the skin. It also has a very faint citrus scent in there, but nothing overpowering. This wash in intended for Sensitive and Normal to Dry skin. I consider my skin on the normal to sensitive side.

I always like the idea of “feeding the skin” with everything that I use, like this wash.

It has a veggie blend of broccoli, tomato, carrot, spinach and kale. As well as a plant blend (to brighten and fight free radical damage) in it of grape seed, licorice root, comfrey, green tea, grapefruit, calendula, lemon and orange extracts. So lots of antioxidants in there, as well as their signature PhytoCellTec Argan ingredient which stimulates stem cell renewal.

I know that what’s in a facial wash doesn’t stay on your face forever, but when your using a 4-5 step routine, I like each step in that routine to contribute to the overall benefit together. So even if only a minute amount gets soaked in, I know I have 3-4 more steps with the same added benefit to go.

I’m currenty trying out the facial cleansing gel, glycolic night cream, anti aging serum, and the anti aging eye gel.

I do like how this facial wash makes my skin feel afterwards. I don’t think its able to get all my mascara off by itself, but that’s OK. I follow with a cotton pad and EMR. My skin doesn’t feel tight, it doesn’t even feel dried out sometimes if I skip the rest of my steps when I’m super exhausted. Twice a week I follow it with the oxygenating masque which I previously reviewed here. My boyfriend who has oilier skin needs something a little bit “stronger” for him to feel like his face was clean, so he wasn’t interested in using it after two tries. For me, it works.

This retails for $38.00 for a 4 fl oz pump. Which may sound a little steep at first, but you use so little it will last you a while. I will try and update this post with how long it took to run out. They recommend a nickel sized drop which is about right, but you could get away with less when using a device like the foreo which vibrates and creates a good milky lotion that cleanses the face.
