FabFitFun Winter Launch Party

It’s always a blast when I get to attend a local beauty event, and this month it was for FabFitFun’s Winter Launch party held at Greystone Manor in Los Angeles.  I came up from Orange County to enjoy the event with Jen from My Beauty Bunny and made sure to arrive early so we could get our hair and nails done beforehand. A day of beauty!

If you haven’t heard of FabFitFun it’s a website that shares all sorts of health, beauty, fashion and fitness articles while also having a subscription box service.  It’s like a one stop shop for all our womanly needs! It’s free to join the site, and the quarterly subscription runs around $49.99 but has a value of $300 per box.  Per box!!!!!!!  Thats a deal ladies! And most of the products in the box are considered full sized and not tiny envelope packets that last you two tries.

At last nights event we were lucky enough to snag the current winter box which has a wild assortment of goodies to test out.  I’m not sure when the next box comes out but it has 4 boxes a year so I am guestimating around April 2015.

We also had the opportunities to grab a massage, get our brows threaded, have makeup applied by Pixi Beauty, or our nails done by the Nail Garden if we planned our rounds correctly. (hint: we didn’t)  There were TONS of people there. TONS!  Kyle, Lisa and Kim were there from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills but unfortunately I did not run into them to get a picture.  But I did get to meet Dawn from Beauty Frosting who is very nice and outgoing, and the ever beautiful Emma Willis, a Celebrity Makeup artist with envious skin!

We of course hit the Flashtag photobooth with whatever prop we could grab for a laugh and got to take our souvenir photo printouts home to share with friends. It was also where I got to spot any other guests that I couldn’t find in the crowds.

But let me get to the box, because the box is awesome and I had to take photos before I grabbed the snacks and left only wrappers behind!  The box included:

Organic Valley Protein Shake – which is good for me after doing a nice long run at the gym.  I’ll be sure to put that in the fridge so its nice and cold when I get home and need to replenish my tired muscles.

Justin’s Classic Almond Butter – I’ve been eying almond butter and been meaning to try it out but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. FabFitFun did it for me.  Looking forward to enjoying this snack as I type away mid-afternoon!

Special K Snack Bar – A 100 calorie snack bar that gives just enough to feel satisfied between meals and with a taste that feels like you’re indulging.  I got the salted caramel pretzel, but berry medley sounds pretty yummy too.

Zumba 60-min DID and $25 gift card – Whoohoo! With a wedding coming up in just months I needed this! If you haven’t heard of Zumba it’s a energetic workout that will melt fat while dancing away!

Salted 3 Month membership (free) – An awesome way to learn how to really cook from Chefs all over!  Step by step tutorials that show you exactly what to do to impress your next dinner guest.  My fiance and I were just talking about cooking classes so I look forward to signing up and see what masterpiece we can create.

$30 gift card to Fashion Project – A wonderful mix of donating to a good cause while snagging designer finds at a discounted price.  This website collects designer goods that need a new home and 55% of profits go to the sellers charity of choice! Win Win!

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel for Sensitive Skin – Made with certified organic ingredients to help clear skin of blemishes and fight signs of aging. I have used this product before and it’s perfect for sensitive skin. it’s been a while but I’d like to try it again.

yourMinerals Eye Shadow Duo – Loose pigments that I received in colors swedish winter (shimmery white) and lavender dream ( shimmery pinky-purple)

Passport to Beauty Tibetan Goji berry Intense Anti-Aging Eye Serum with Retinol – Long name but packed full of goodness. I absolutely rely on serums on a daily basis so I can’t wait to give this one a whirl.  This serum claims to fight signs of aging and stimulate collagen production- something I can definitely use right now!

Lather AHA Hand Creme with Evening Primrose – I always am in need of hand creme, but the fact that this one has AHA’s makes it even better.  Sometimes the skin on our hands gets dry and crepey looking – this will fix that. It also smells really nice!

Half United Fighting Hunger Necklace – This cool necklace is made from old bullet casings and profits are donated to feed children in need. For each necklace sold, 7 meals are provided!

Daniel Stone COCO Candle – I got the pomegranate coconut candle and omg ladies, this candle smells GOOD!  Daniel Stone uses coconut wax for a clean burn, and is a sustainable source to remain a eco-concious brand.  I’ve seen these candles on etsy before and am very happy I now have one!

All in all the full value of this box adds up to $383.59.  That’s some serious savings by purchasing the box and not buying each item individually!  While all the products look fun to try out I am most excited about the Lather Hand Creme and the Daniel Stone Candle because they both smell amazing!
