If you’ve followed my blog in the past you know that I have had the opportunity to review many JF Lazartigue products. I don’t think there is a hair care line I know more about than JF Lazartigue! For years I have been enamored with their soy-milk line and have relied on it to keep my long hair in tip top shape. Their products are on point with their formulas and they really have created fantastic solutions for all different hair types such as fine, dry, frizzy, thinning, and oily.
There was always line of their products thought that I admired from afar. I’d see it on the shelves of Beauty Collection and always wondered what it was like since it seemed to be THE ultimate in luxury hair products, The Les Soins d’Exception Tea Oil Delicate Collection. Talk about fancy! The exquisite packaging along had me so curious as to what the line was all about! Lucky for me, JF Lazartigue invited me to give it a try and share my opinion with you guys.
I was sent the Tea Oil Delicate Shampoo and Tea Oil Delicate Conditioner which fits my hair, long, fine and delicate after the heat styling and color processing it has gone through. There is also a tea oil fragrance spray and a pre-shampoo cream and serum in the line and maybe, just maybe I’ll get to try those next! But back to the shampoo and conditioner. What I love about JFL products is that they are formulated with many of the same ingredients we find in effective skincare products like collagen, AHA’s and vitamins–and one of the first brands to do so! And at percentages that actually make them worthwhile!
The Tea Oil Delicate shampoo is formulated with polyphenols (a micronutrient and antioxidant) and flavonoids (a phytonutrient and antioxidant), specifically Vitamins (B and C) that help restructure fine hair. The shampoo comes with a easy squeeze bottle that luckily is practically spill-proof. The shampoo formulas are usually a bit thinner than your typical shampoo so go easy on the squeezin’. You want this stuff to last and a little can go a long way. As always, JF Lazartigue always recommends shampooing your hair twice with their products, once to remove build-up, and second to really clean the hair shaft and scalp. The first round you will notice less suds, but the second round will be full on foam! The scent is gorgeous and will linger in your hair!
The Tea Oil Delicate conditioner comes in a beautiful gold squeeze tube and produces a thick mint green cream to work through the hair. I always make sure to give my hair a few minutes with this worked through the “pony” portion of my hair while I shave or scrub down so it really soaks in. This conditioner is specifically made for dry, fine hair prone to breakage and works to moisturize and smooth without weighing it down. The tea oil in the formula comes from camelia fruit and also has vitamins B and C in it to work its antioxidant magical work. If I could change one thing about this product the only thing would be the size of the tube…it needs to be bigger! I go through conditioner like crazy having long hair and I know this will run out much faster than the shampoo. This conditioner also has the same delicate fragrance as the shampoo.
I rotate these shampoo and conditioners with others I have in my bathroom so that I don;t feel anything runs out too fast, and most definitely reserve them for my bubble bath nights when I want to feel like I’m getting a little extra TLC. I’d love to see what the entire line together would do with the pre-shampoo cream and the oil beforehand.
You can purchase JF Lazartigue products directly from their website, or you can also visit a Beauty Collection or Planet Beauty if they are in your area. The shampoo comes in a 6.8 fl oz and runs you about $49 while the conditioner comes in a 5.07 fl oz tube and costs $60.00. Yes, they are definitely on the higher end of hair care products in terms of cost, but remember they formulate their products with maximum (or effective) levels of ingredients so you actually see a change in your hair. It’s an investment, but gives you the most beautiful hair in the world!
