NARS Audacious Lipstick in Dominique

I recently attended The Makeup Show in Los Angeles on their blogger event night and was gifted with a ton of gorgeous products to test out, one of them being NARS Audacious Lipstick in Dominique.  Nars is one of those brands I have coveted for quite sometime. A little out of my price range at $32 a pop, but always gorgeous nonetheless. I can’t tell you how many times I admired the products on the Sephora ranks and have only owned one Nars lipstick in the past and have cherished it for a very long time!

The NARS Audacious lipstick line features creamy, one stroke lip colors in a range of 40 colors!  The lipstick glides on with absolutely no drag and has vivid color without needing to reapply a couple layers for full opacity.

I usually do not wear purple lipsticks and tend to stick to mauves, roses and pinks since it seems to brighten up my complexion more and look more natural but I can see myself wearing this color at night for a dinner date or to go out dancing. It does appear darker on my lips that it does in the tube, but that’s fine. It’s still very pretty!

It would definitely look better with a crisp matching lip liner but all mine are pink and I didn’t want to change the color of the lipstick in the photos for swatch sake. After looking on their website it looks like the velvet liners in kare kare or anse soleil would be a good match.

Have any of you tried the NARS Audacious Lipstick? What are you thoughts? Which are your favorite colors? Share in the comments below!

    • HI! I absolutely LOVE Cocoa Brown. They have a few versions and I use them all. The gradual, the dark and the regular all look very natural and work awesome. You can find it at Rickys NYC if you are in the US but they are also available worldwide if you search. I use Jergen's face tanning lotion for my face only because it's oil free and gives me great colors for photographing
