Michael Todd Soniclear Elite

Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be sent the Michael Todd Soniclear to review and have been using it ever since.  I loved the versatility of the device in that I could use it on my face and body, and was even more excited to find out that they had a new and improved version that focuses on anti-aging benefits.  Say hello to the Michael Todd Soniclear Elite, the hand held device that cleans face and body, but now with patent pending C-boost technology to increase collagen production. Say what? Read on to find out more!

The Soniclear Elite has many similar features to the standard Soniclear from the past.  The brush heads are always antimicrobial, and have two options; one for the face which is smaller, and the body which is bigger and can cover a larger area.  Both charge on a base that sits pretty on your sink vanity, and comes in a variety of colors that will fit anyone’s style.  If I didn’t receive the purple, I definitely would have swooped up Island Girl because tropical floral designs are just gorgeous in my book. Because my vanity is becoming overwhelmed with makeup, I should note that I just fully charge up my Soniclear Elite, and store it in its base underneath my sink and use as needed.  I haven’t had to charge it over the past month and have been using it about once a day since I received it.

Both have a non-slip grip handle, and are waterproof so you can quickly get everything done in the shower (which is me sometimes), and has adjustable speeds (low, medium, and high) to suit your specific skincare needs.  I tend to use the low setting on my face, and highest setting for the body.  Since learning I was pregnant, my skin has been incredibly finicky lately, and has had acne flare ups worse than I’ve ever experienced in my life. Pregnancy skin is NO JOKE. And because I do a nice sweaty boot camp workout every morning, I’ve got sweat and oil going into overtime production, so a good skincare regimen was at the top of my list of things to figure out in the first trimester.

Since I typically use the Soniclear Elite at night time, I’ve been playing with the C-Boost button to see if it would irritate my already angry preggo skin.  Specifically, the C-boost option stimulates circulation in the skin and then stimulates collagen and elastin production – two things you need for younger looking skin, and cell renewal. When you use the Soniclear Elite you hear the typical buzz of the sonic action going on, but once you switch on C-boost you see the brush sweep from left to right moreso. I find that using the C-boost daily was too much for me, but that using it a couple times of week did my skin well.  my skin requires exfoliation to unclog those pores and prevent the plugs that seems to have found a home on the sides of my face.

Overall I’m really pleased with my Soniclear Elite, I feel like since I have consistently been using it my acne is getting more under control. My skin is on a pregnancy roller coaster right now and enzymatic scrubs and sugar scrubs were not cutting it for my skin.

Right now you can get the Michael Todd Soniclear Elite through their website for $149. It comes with the first set of brush heads that later will need replacement once they get worn out. I believe good skincare takes some investment and finding the right products and tools can do wonders for skin, no matter what state it’s currently in.
