Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial

I love treating myself to a good mask after cleansing my face.  Kind of like the cherry on top of the sundae giving my skin an added treat at the end of the night.  Cleansing alone just doesn’t quite cut it and I usually follow with either a mask or serum and a moisturizer.  Lately, I’ve been using Exuviance Bionic Oxygen Facial that was sent to me for review.  A detoxifying and re-energizing mask that bubbles up on the face making it extra fun!

This mask features a triple oxygenating blend of ingredients that de-stresses, eliminates dullness, and enhances collagen production of the skin in a all in one formula. Somehow the scientists at Exuviance manage to make this mask deliver pure oxygen to the skin while the bionic complex energizes to stimulate cell energy (in other words, improve function).  The formula also touts the fact that it is paraben and fragrance free.

As someone who is in my second trimester of pregnancy, I made sure to check all the ingredients and found nothing irritating or unsafe for me a baby-and considering this little girl is doing a number on my skin (hello, pregnancy acne), it’s important I take care of it as best I can.  I’ve been using this bubbling mask about 2-3 as week as directed right after cleansing with my soniclear and face wash of choice.  While my skin is still damp I dispense a few pumps and put on a generous layer of the gel and go back to watching TV for about 5-10 minutes while the mask does it’s work.  You can actually FEEL and HEAR the mask working once the bubbling starts and it turns from a soft blue gel to a thicker layer of white bubbles. Not going to lie, it sometimes tickles a bit as the bubbles are poppin’ away! As time passes, the bubbles mostly disappear (I tend to have a few spots on my face where the bubbles just stay) and just rinse clean. And of course, the mask has added benefits such as serving as entertainment for me husband as he watches the transformation happen on my face right before his eyes. The first time he saw it in action he gave me a weird look and told me I accidentally left something on my face. I just smiled because minutes later it was “all gone”.

Afterwards my skin feels soft, refreshed, and soothed! Pretty much exactly how you WANT your skin to feel after doing a mask treatment. Not tight, not dry, not red. It’s always the best after the first go around but still very happy with the results I am getting weeks later.

The Exuviance site suggests trying this mask after doing their peel but all peels will have to wait till this mamma delivers her little one. For now it’s just exfoliating and find finding ways to soothe the skin.
