NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil

Matte Lipsticks without the dry, chapped lip look is what we’ve all been searching for since the trend popped up once again — and NUDESTIX hit the mark with their Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils . If you aren’t familiar with the brand, it’s time to get acquainted with this easy to use, cruelty-free brand that makes makeup so simple and fun with it’s multi purpose pencils for eyes, lips and face.

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencils come in eight waterproof (and kiss proof colors) that go on like velvet and claim to last up to 6 hours without fading. They all come in their cute, on-the-go mirrored tin that stores a couple of pencils in your purse or bag for easy touch ups.

As with most matte lip colors, it’s recommended to buff your lips before applying so you get a smooth, long-lasting look so I made sure to gently exfoliate with some shea butter and a toothbrush so they were prepped and ready for color. Before coloring in my lips, I primed them with NUDESTIX’s Blur Pencil, a multi-tasking pencil that minimizes pores, fine lines, and prevents feathering of color on the lips. This invisible pencil uses Hyaluronic acid spheres penetrate the skin and plump while Vitamin C and E soothe — all things my lips could appreciate.(Along with my forehead which has some lines I’d like to hide)

I was able to try two colors from the Intense Lip + Cheek line, Belle (listed as a plum nude but leans toward a peachy color for me) and Raven ( described as a deep red on the Sephora site, but best described as a wine red on my lips).

I found the blur pencil allowed me to easily switch between colors without staining the lips and allowed the color to apply smoothly.  The lip pencils went on like velvet, no tugging or pulling and didn’t zap the moisture from my already chapped-prone lips. I did not test the pencils as cheek color because I prefer a pressed powder for that and I would be afraid of not blending the pencil properly on my cheeks.

You can find NUDESTIX products available at Sephora and online at Beautylish.com.  Each Intense Matte Lip +Cheek pencil retails for $24 each which is reasonable when you account for its multipurpose abilities as well as how long the product lasts. • while you were peeling was there any foundation or anything that worked for you??? Was there anything that helped the peeling?

    • If you are referring to when I was on Tretinoin its been a while but basically you just need to be super careful with the amount of tretinoin you apply to the skin. Too much and you will peel ALOT. Use the least amount possible to spread over the skin. And keep skin moisturized with Cerave afterwards. If I remember correctly you need to wait to apply moisturizer after tretinoin, like 30 minutes or so. Hope this helps!
