Jan Marini’s C-ESTA Serum

There is no doubt that I’m seriously invested in finding the best skincare products for my skin. I frequently read other people’s reviews and try and test out several different things to find the perfect combo that suits my needs. What I find I need is frequent exfoliation, cleansers I can use 2-3 times a day, a hydrating serum, a reparative serum, and a good moisturizer.  I’ve already had the pleasure of trying out Jan Marini’s Hyla 3D Serum which gives my skin the boost of moisture it needs, but I was on the hunt for something the was reparative and could strengthen my skin from the inside out. Luckily, Jan Marini’s C-ESTA Serum was made available to me and I’ve been loving every drop of it.

I’ve always known and been a fan of topical vitamin C. Vitamin C works as a antioxidant to fight free radical damage, improve collagen synthesis, and can have a brightening effect on the skin. It’s a all-in-one wonder cocktail that truly fights all signs of aging in one. What makes C-ESTA Serum different though is the addition of DMAE, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamins B5 and E.  DMAE is a skin-firming agent that has anti-inflammatory properties to it. It fends off wrinkles, improves elasticity and generally sounds like the sister to Vitamin C in my book.  I found out that our brain actually MAKES some of this stuff in small quantities. How cool is that?

Hyaluronic Acid is my jam. It’s the first thing I always want to put on my skin so it’s nice this serum already has it in there. Vitamin B5 is also known as pantothenic acid helps keep that much needed moisture in the skin where it belongs, and helps with the skin healing process. Vitamin E is a well known antioxidant that blocks free radical damage and improves moisture levels of the skin.

Because this is a luxury skincare product for me, I appreciate that a single pump works for the entire face. I give the bottle a good shake (as directed) and apply after washing my face. I do feel that there is some sort of granular feel to it at first, but it disappears as I massage it into my skin. I have a few acne marks that dry over and often scar immediately after, but I think they are healing faster and leaving less of a mark behind since using this serum. Since it’s only been a few weeks I can only imagine what a significant amount of time with this product can achieve.

I really should remember to use this all over my neck as well, but I generally reach just beyond the jaw line and stop. This stuff is so good I need to make it last! At the same time — I don’t want my neck and chest to look older than my face. Dilemmas, dilemmas.

You can purchase Jan Marini products through their website and through select skincare professionals. To find out more about this cruelty free brand, you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
