Get Clean With Plaine Products

Environmentally safe, cruelty free products

Have you ever taken a look around your bathroom and realized how many products you had that were housed in plastic? The creators of Plaine Products did, and set out to change the way people live by creating a line of natural bath products using sustainable packaging. Environmentally friendly products that are not only cruelty-free and vegan, but made to be effective and biodegradable so it stays safe for the environment.

I was sent their body wash, shampoo and conditioner to try. I was happy to hear that not only was it color-safe for my newly colored hair, but also kid safe since my daughter takes baths at the same time and would be around any products that I use.

The formulas are made with a base of organic aloe vera juice that contains vitamins and 8-essential amino acids to keep hair and skin looking and feeling it’s best. All of the products are naturally scented with rosemary, mint and vanilla which blossoms in the shower. I wasn’t sure what that combo would smell like but overall it smells quite minty and I love it. The scent even lingers well after the shower which I enjoy.

What’s really cool about the brand is the fact that the bottles are actually aluminum refillable/reusable bottles. The bottles are large and will last for quite a while and are sturdy so they can take a beating if they fall over in the shower — just watch your foot, haha. Aluminum was chosen because it’s easy to make reusable by sterilization and strong enough for multiple uses. It’s also a material that can be completely recycled without a loss of quality and less energy needed to make that happen!

So what happens when you finally finish up your bottles? You can ship them back in the eco-friendly packaging they sent you the bottles in (remember to rinse them out and replace the original caps the bottles came with) and Plaine Products will take care of the rest!

How long will the bottles last you? I did mention earlier that the bottles are pretty large. I’d say they were on the large economy size you’d normally see with big, cheap bottles of shampoo or body wash, but just made with aluminum. The company says they should last you anywhere from two to four months. They also have travel size aluminum bottles which is helpful and will fit in a toiletry bag much better!

I was really surprised by the quality of the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I was a bit nervous that the quality would be all in the packaging and not in the actual product but there was a lot of attention to detail put into every aspect of the brand. The shampoo suds very well, smells great and doesn’t strip my hair. The conditioner leaves my color processed hair feeling silky and rinses away easily and the body wash produces a nice lather that leaves my skin feeling moisturized. The pumps on the bottles work well, the packaging that the products were ship in are sturdy and the products look nice over all!
