Taking Care Of Color Treated Hair With Orlando Pita Play

Now that I treat myself to hair appointments every six weeks, I’ve really tried to focus on my haircare a bit more. Color treated hair requires a bit more care, especially with fantasy colors that fade a bit quicker. I also don’t want my hair to feel processed or ruined, so treatments that nourish and repair are important for me too. It was by luck I was sent Orlando Pita Play products which couldn’t be more suited my recently colored hair.

Orlando Pita Play has four product lines that focus on either: volumizing, smoothing, color care, and deep repair. While all the products look enticing enough to try, the two I’ve used were perfect choices for me. The Former Glory Protein Treatment spray helps in repair and protecting from damage while the Hair Purifier Vinegar Cleansing Mask cleanses the hair and scalp to promote vibrant hair color.

The Former Glory Protein Treatment spray is used after shampooing and is spritzed on wet hair from root to ends. This product does have a perfume scent to it which maybe be strong for some – but it’s only for a minute that you notice it before the shower steam makes it dissipate. During the few minutes you leave it on your hair, the spray works to repair damaged parts while strengthening and preventing future damage with its special Fortifinity Complex. This proprietary blend uses amino acids, proteins and lipids to make hair look healthy and shiny once again. I can see myself using this often since I have frequent color changes.

The Hair Purifier Vinegar Cleansing Mask was the very first hair mask that I’ve used that focuses more on the roots than the ends! The purpose of this mask is to enhance color and cleanse the hair and scalp for vibrant, longer lasting color. Fantasy colors don’t hold well so anything that helps it stay longer is a necessity! I scoop out a dollop and massage directly into the scalp while  adding just a tiny bit more water for it to lather up a bit. I leave it on while I use my shower poof and rinse before shaving my legs. The brand does recommend using it for 5-20 minutes which is a reasonable amount of time — at least for my kinda showers! Once I rinsed my hair felt fantastic and smoother. I still follow with my color enhancing conditioner, but I definitely felt a difference!

I’m really glad I found out about these products because I do feel that my hair feels very healthy even though it’s colored often.

You can find Orlando Pita Play products at ULTA both in stores and online. To find out more about the brand you can visit them on Facebook and Instagram.
