Renew Your Skin with Sugar Cookie Marini Holiday Exfoliator

As someone in my mid-thirties, I really have focused in on what I’m using in the skincare department. My major concerns are that I have fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and breakouts from time to time. To make my skin feel it’s best, it’s important that I cleanse at least twice a day, exfoliate, treat and moisturize. Exfoliation being a very important step for my skin as I’ve been reminded to exfoliate often so that the rest of my products are effective.

The Sugar Cookie Marini Holiday Exfoliator is a limited edition facial scrub and it just landed on my doorstep last week. Limited edition, hence the holiday scent, sugar cookie. What’s different about this one from others I have used is that it uses both chemical and physical exfoliators to polish and renew the skin. By using proteolytic enzymes from papaya and pineapple, glycolic acid, and physical exfoliators like sugar, Jan Marini designed a face scrub that not only softens the skin, but treats it with a dimethicone based skin protectant to leave it smooth.

I like a face scrub with a good amount of grit or texture to it — which is not exactly what you should be looking for, but I found this one to have a good amount that I am pleased with. While there is a warning that there may be a slight tingle, I didn’t get that at all — just skin that was SUPER smooth to the touch. It’s a shame this is limited edition because I love anything that involves a sugar cookie. While the scent is quite faint and makes me think of snickerdoodle more, the exfoliating power is the opposite. A little goes a long way on a wet face, and I’ll be trying to stretch this out this tub as long as possible. I’ve only used this a handful of times but I can say that I’ve gotten no irritation, and can feel a difference in my skin right after using.

I only wish I still had the other fabulous products I’ve tried from Jan Marini such as the C-Esta Serum and the Hyla3D HA Activating Complex. I used everything to the last tiny drop!  I find all Jan Marini products that I’ve tried, to be very effective so I trust this brand.

You can purchase Jan Marini products through their website and through select skincare professionals. To find out more about this cruelty free brand, you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
