Staying Moisturized with The Humboldt Soap Company Body Mousses

Lightweight, deliciously scented Body Mousse

I don’t know about you guys, but I like my showers piping hot even when I know I’m possibly drying out my skin. Cooler temps outside also mean drier air indoors that further exacerbate a dry skin problem. Just from knowing this, you can guess that I rely on products that add all that moisture back into my skin, and luckily the Humboldt Soap Company has been doing a phenomenal job of doing so with their body mousses.

I found out about HSC through a post made by Allison of Never Say Die Beauty, and after hearing how much she enjoyed these deliciously scented body products. I LOVE scented bath products, but was really what grabbed me was how the consistency and feel of these body mousses won Allison over.

Arice from the Humboldt Soap Company contacted me asking me if I’d like to try them myself and I happily accepted. While there are five scents in the body mousse family, I chose the scents that I thought I would enjoy the most and have NOT put them down since I’ve had them.  I was really taken back by the feel of the cream in the tub. It lightweight and rich all at the same time. It truly has that whipped feel to it, unlike some thicker, heavier body treatments I have in my cabinets. The formula uses a blend of Shea, Mango, Babassu and Cocoa butters mixed with Argan, jojoba and Panthenol for a high end feel.

It takes no time for these mousses to absorb into the skin. I basically apply them all over my arms, and torso, but focus mostly on my legs and feet since they get the most dry. Then I lock in that moisture by putting on a pair of my long socks until I go to sleep at night.

You might think that with all those butters and oils you may be running into a greasy mess but you don’t. My sheets and clothing show no signs of stains and your skin isn’t shiny afterwards like some other butters I use. I do like the level of fragrance used in these. Just enough to keep my sniffing for more, but not headache inducing. I’m writing this blog post about an hour after my night time shower and and I need to put my nose to my arm to detect the fragrance.

These would have made great Christmas gifts for my friends if I had tried them before the holidays! I love that I got three scents to rotate between, but will more than likely grab the other two because I really want to see what they smell like! And even though I talk about this body mousse as a winter skin necessity, I can still see myself using this straight into Summer! The fluffiness and lightweight feel truly make this a winner in my book.

Humboldt Soap Company carries more than just body mousse. I’ve read that their Cremeplexion face cream is nice, and the goat milk body lotion scents look delicious. Sadly, I think i’m allergic to goat milk products so I’ll miss out on those, but the lip balms are always something I’ll need and can have multiples of.
