Pixi Beauty Remedy Masks

As hectic as life gets, I will always be one to give myself the necessary “me time” that we all deserve. There are days where I truly feel run-ragged. I’ll wake up at five am to get a workout in but somehow don’t get to take a shower until 3 pm, and that’s just before I’ll have to run out and do a few more things before the end of the day hits. Once my husband comes home, he knows that while he prepares dinner I will excuse myself upstairs to change into lounge clothes and do my skincare routine.

While I have a pretty usual routine I stick to for daily cleansing, I like to switch out different masks or exfoliants as an added skintreat for the day. My skin is normal/dry so anything that hydrates, smooths, cools, or refreshes are welcome on my vanity.

With the temperatures already heating up to what feels like the beginning of Summer, I’ve been exploring Pixi Beauty Remedy Masks as my added “skintreat” step.

Each mask comes in an enormous screw-top jar, that reminds me of an ice cream pint and spoon attached. The size alone is impressive and makes you feel like you are getting your monies worth since it gives you far more product than most mask jars would give. There are three versions of which to chose from, all with a similar feel to them.

All three masks are jelly pack style masks, a type very popular amongst k-beauty brands, and are formulated to treat a variety of skin concerns that we commonly like to address. You apply each of these thickly to a cleansed face and allows to sit for ten minutes before washing off. I love the cool gel feel of each of these and usually let them do their magic while I prepare my outfit for the next day or scan Instagram. Warm water washes everything away but I like to also use my Face Halo to wipe off any remnants on the skin. I then follow with my choice of serums, moisturizers and oils.

The Rose Remedy Mask

If your skin is lacking moisture the Rose Remedy Mask is a good option. Rosehip oil moisturizes and nourishes the skin while being full of vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids that we benefit from. Argan oil adds to the moisturizing power of this face mask while also regulating sebum production and Cica, a newly popularized ingredient in western brands helps soothe and calm the skin by reducing redness with its anti-inflammatory properties. But to up the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, Pixi also added Turmeric to this jelly blend. I haven’t tried skincare products with Turmeric (i don’t think) and not sure how it actually benefits my skin. My skin does feel soft and hydrated afterward and I do enjoy the delicate scent of each of these masks, this one being rose. If you enjoy this product, you’d probably also like their Rose Glow Mist, a dual-phase facial mist that hydrates and is a great first or last step! TARGET | PIXI BEAUTY

The Vitamin-C Remedy Mask

If your complexion has been feeling a little dull and needs some glow up, the Vitamin-C Remedy mask then I’d chose this mask. My skin tone is uneven in places so something that helps brighten it up is always welcome. This citrus-scented jelly mask has a good lineup of ingredients like ginseng, green tea, and Ferulic acid that work together to brighten, energizes, and firm the skin with its antioxidant power. I remember first learning about Ferulic Acid when I first tried the Skinceuticals serum and was floored by what that sample did to my skin. So when I see that it’s included in products that are more obtainable to me, I was very excited. Ferulic acid fights free radicals while boosting the power of other antioxidants around, like Vitamin A, C, and E. If you end up liking this product I’d also suggest their Vitamin C Serum for extra spot-fighting, and reducing the effects of sun damage.  TARGET | PIXI BEAUTY

The Milky Remedy Mask

If your skin is craving some soothing TLC then go with the Milky Remedy Mask. Stressed-out skin will find relief in the comforting blend of chamomile, coconut, oat, and sea buckthorn to nourish, hydrate, and heal the skin back to a calm state. I cannot pinpoint the scent behind this one. I thought it would be coconut but it’s not. It’s not overpowering but it’s there and smells nice. I haven’t experienced any redness lately to test its ability to instantly reduce redness as the website says, but enjoy how cool and calm my skin feels after wearing for ten minutes. If you feel your skin could still use a hydration boost, I would also explore the Hydrating Milky Lotion in their hydrating line. It can be used for the face and body and very lightweight on the skin. TARGET | PIXI BEAUTY

I can easily incorporate each of these into my nighttime skincare routine whenever I want an “Ahhh” moment for myself. The cool gel is a nice sensation and I enjoy applying it thick with the spoon spatula that’s provided. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m thinking these would be even better when housed in a fridge for those hotter days ahead.  I’m pretty impressed with the size of the jars, it does make you feel like you are getting a lot of product for the price you pay. I think these would make a great holiday mini trio set in the future for gifting if they were cut down to a quarter of their size and I always love, love, love that I can find Pixi Beauty at my local Target!
