Hydrating Skincare Products For Parched Skin

My skin is mostly normal. It gets drier in the cooler winter months while getting a bit oilier in the Summer. Regardless of the time of year, I welcome added hydration so my skin feels comfortable and incorporate it whenever I get a chance. Hydrated skin in general has a healthier skin barrier, better skin elasticity, and the ability to counteract overproduction of oil in dry skin. Hydrated skin feels smoother to the touch, and will always appear glowier than dry, dehydrated skin. Needless to say, hydrated skin is one way of reaching #skincaregoals .

trustRX 4-in-1 Hydro Cleanser

The hydration boost can start with the cleanser you use! I have a few favorites I usually stick to, but vegan, and cruelty-free brand Trust RX was kind enough to send me their “relax” skincare line and I was interested in seeing how I would like their 4-in-1 hydro cleanser. Because it can be used for face, body, and hair (talk about a timesaver!), it would be a great addition to my shower and can reduce clutter by eliminating those extra bottles. TrustRX hydro cleanser foams up nicely and has the sweet, relaxing scent of lavender to destress the day away. Ylang Ylang and Ashwaganda work to fight the signs of oxidative stress while Hyaluronic Acid and vitamin B5 help lock in moisture for the skin and hair. TrustRX uses sustainable packaging, is leaping bunny certified, uses no synthetic fragrances, and is halal certified.

Want some other great options? Derma E Hydrating Cleanser , Fresh Beauty Soy Face Cleanser , Good Molecules Rosewater Daily Cleansing Gel and First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser  are great too!

Good Molecules  Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches

If you like using eye gel patches then RUN to Ulta and treat yourself to Good Molecules  Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches. These are a bit bigger than a lot of eye gel patches I’ve tried so they cover more area and stay better (for me). While the eye patches boast of caffeine, it’s only to de-puff the eyes and improve circulation — these will not “wake you up” if you choose to use them at bedtime as I do. Niacinamide gently smooths the delicate skin of the eye area while aloe and hyaluronic acid plumps it up. Licorice root extract and peptides have also been added to brighten and soothe making these an all-around great choice for tired eyes.

Want more options? I also love Pixi Beauty FortifEYE treatment which is a repeat purchase for me!

Earth To Skin Manuka Honey Sheet Masks

I don’t do sheet masks often, but last summer I was absolutely HOOKED on Earth To Skin Manuka Honey Sheet Masks and was buying them online like crazy so I could use them twice a week! I swear my skin looked different after using these masks, and maybe it was because I’d wear them for longer than I usually do but they were gold in my eyes. I’m a big believer in the power of manuka honey and its ability to hydrate and improve skin health. Not only do I feel the anti-inflammatory benefits were visible to me (calmer, smooth skin), manuka honey, glycerin, and sodium hyaluronate noticeably hydrate the skin and for such a good price too!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer

Not many primers impress me so I rarely use them, but when it comes to First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hyaluronic Hydrating Primer it’s a whole other story. It’s the only primer I have reached for more than a few times and feels great on the skin. It sinks into the skin seamlessly and honestly can even make makeup-free skin look brighter because it has light diffusing micro-pearls in it for added radiance! I won’t use this under my Ilia tint, but it feels great under my CoverGirl Skin Milk, Supergoop CC Screen, and Pacifica CC Cream. It does not have that slippery silicone feel to it but more like a hydrating lotion that feels like nothing on.

Fresh Rose Face Mask

I’ve never seen a prettier face mask than the Fresh Rose Face Mask. This mask is best applied when your skin is still damp from cleansing (or you can use a facial mist) and leaves my skin feeling incredibly fresh, cool and hydrated. The rose-petal flecked gel spreads easily over the skin and absorbs all it’s goodness into your skin. Rosewater, cucumber extract, hydrating microalgaw extract and aloe vera do a serious moisture number on the skin. This is the mask to wear when you want to sit back and relax for fifteen minutes to de stress. I love to layer this on thick so it has a while to absorb into the skin before washing off. It also smells beautiful like roses!

Want to know other hydrating masks I love? First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask, Dermalogica Hydro Masque Exfoliant,  and Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask would be on that list!

Dermalogica Melting Moisture Masque

Dermalogica Melting Moisture Masque is a great choice for those with ultra-dry skin. This is the first balm to oil mask I’ve tried and discovered it’s far too rich for me during the hotter months and will be saving for Winter when my skin really needs help. While it’s called a masque, it’s really more of a deep moisturizer. You do not wash this off, and use it as the last step in your skincare routine at night, like you would a facial oil. Microalgae, vitamin E, and linoleic acid hydrate and smooth and lock in the moisture for softer, and healthier to the touch in the morning. My experience with this mask is short, but I look forward to using it again this winter!

Drunk Elephant F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask

One of my favorite end-of-the-day products to use is Drunk Elephant’s F Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial mask. This one is also called an overnight mask, but to me, it’s a moisturizer. It can be used morning and night, but I save it for the evening. If I feel my skin has gotten a little irritated from too many glycolic treatments, I like to skip any exfoliants for a couple of days and use this generously until my skin feels good again. Humectants like coconut water, prickly pear extract, sodium PCA, and magnesium PCA draw water to the skin, while Vitamin F helps maintain hydration levels and a healthy skin barrier. It even has niacinamide in it to diminish signs of aging. If your skin needs soothing, I really enjoy this one!

Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask

Honey Potion is the newest product out of this lineup for me. I’ve had my eye on it for quite some time but somehow never got around to trying it even though I’m obsessed with honey-based skincare. Farmacy upped the ante with this one in making it a self-heating facial mask that relaxes while it deeply hydrates and moisturizes. Honey, amino acids from royal jelly, B vitamins, and glycerin work together to soothe and nourish while the mask turns to a white cream that can be massaged into the skin before rinsing. I don’t detect any scent or fragrance (although I wouldn’t be opposed to it smelling like honey), and can tell this can be great to use year-round for me.

Bliss Drench & Quench Cream to Water Hydrator

I’ve been quite happy with Bliss’ Drench & Quench hydrator since it’s hot here and a gel moisturizer will usually win my pick with their lightweight formulas. Drench & Quench vanishes into the skin nicely without leaving behind any tackiness leaving skin feeling instantly hydrated with the help of four different types of hyaluronic acid. This isn’t fragrance-free, but it is vegan and cruelty-free! If you classify your skin as DRY there is another version of this hydrator that’s more suited for you

Want other gel/ gel-cream moisturizer suggestions? I also really love Farmacy Daily Greens, and Volition Beauty Celery Green Cream are awesome and I used them all through last Summer.

Pixi Beauty Rose Glow Mist

Can you have a misting addiction? I think I do with the number of mists I keep on hand. It’s a great way to dampen the skin before applying products, or in-between steps, and also feels pretty refreshing on hotter days. One of my favorites that I’ve gone through countless bottles is Pixi Beauty Rose Glow Mist. I like that this one has a touch of oil in it to help lock in moisture from the rose water (rose, argan, and avocado oil). It also smells pretty! Spray this often and all over. You’ll love it!

Other Facial mists I love: Item Beauty One Hit has the best fine mist, Fresh Vitamin Antioxidant mist is deliciousness in a spray can!

I hope you found something that helps hydrate your skin! Let me know if there is something amazing that I missed that should be added!
