Urban Decay Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator
It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is, healthy, hydrated skin is always in to me! Whether I’m bare-faced or have makeup on, I always prefer my skin to look more radiant than matte. I came across another great tinted moisturizer from Urban Decay that I consider to be share-worthy so let’s take a look at why I am loving their Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator.
Hydromaniac Tinted Glow Hydrator was released earlier this Summer and presented itself as a hydrating medium coverage face tint that can stay fresh for up to 24 hours. I don’t know anyone that needs to wear makeup for that long, but I think we can all agree that if we can get a typical “full day” which is more like 8-10 hours, usually, then it’s hit that mark. It also claims to minimize pores, and smooth the skin with a blurring effect. All things I love and am here for.
I’m pretty lucky shade-wise because my skin tone is usually available, and right in the middle of the spectrum sitting in the neutral medium area. There are twelve shades of Hydromaniac that truly have medium coverage ability, and the shade I got, Light Medium 41 is a perfect Summer match for me — I do hope I can swing it for Winter too, but I might need to drop-down shade. We’ll see.
It is said to be suitable for all skin types, non-comedogenic, vegan and cruelty-free.
What’s cool about this tinted glow hydrator is all the skincare benefits it has! Kombucha filtrate is loaded with skin-loving antioxidants that can brighten, repair, and strengthen (fighting free radicals) the skin while supporting a healthy skin microbiome. Because foundations are not something we glop on, I’m going to make a good guess that it’s not going to transform my skin, but I like knowing that it’s there.
Hydromaniac also features marula oil, the same oil found in Drunk Elephant’s luxury facial oil. Are you wondering what makes this oil special? Marula oil is extremely lightweight and very similar in feel to the oil our own skin produces. It’s packed with antioxidants, it will not clog pores, and works as an anti-inflammatory to soothe skin.
I find that this gives me very glowy, hydrated skin. The coverage is seriously amazing if you want to call this a hydrator or tinted moisturizer. Most are so sheer it’s kinda pointless, but this has some coverage power to it. I have sunspots on my cheeks and redness here and there from time to time. I have fine lines and deep under-eye creases. I can wear this “foundation” and almost cover up my dark under eyes completely. Almost. It covers everything nicely — not completely, but enough for me to say to myself that my skin looks even overall. The radiance you get from this is so hard to explain. It’s not pearly or shimmery at all, it has sheen to it. It looks like you took care of your skin with this stuff on!
I apply this with my fingers as Urban Decay suggests and maybe buff over with a brush or a wet sponge at the end to just give it a final blend. A tube of this is $29, which I feel is fair since I’ve spent twice as much on others. Also, it has more opacity to it, so I use less, so it will last a very long time.

I do believe it helps blur texture, as I notice pores less, and quite simply, I like how it makes my skin look. I double cleanse so I have no issues with removal and haven’t experienced any breakouts from this over the last couple of weeks of using it.

I saw your post about this product and look on IG, and it truly looks fabulous on you. While tinted serums don't work for me, I've now got your elf No Budge Shadow Stick in Magnetic Pull on my list ;)
You look just amazing. The color is so perfect for you and gives your skin a refined dewy look. I know that Phyrra has said it's a favorite of hers and I've had good luck with UD in the past. Will definitely consider this!
Hi, Claudia - I like Urban Decay because it's safe for my sensitive skin. So I'm happy to see how this tinted moisturizer worked for you. It looks like it provides way more coverage and healthy effects! Thanks for sharing another good thing from UD - Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com
I love tinted serums, and want to try this! I don't know why anyone would want to wear finishing products for 24 hours!
