Pixi Beauty Ultimate Beauty Kit 6th Edition

I’ve had a love affair with Pixi Beauty for well probably a decade at this point. It’s an accessible, affordable cruelty-free makeup and skincare brand that has served me with tons of their products over the years. It would be hard for me to narrow down what I’ve used from them because I have probably tried 90% of their products overall. But I will say their Glow Tonic is everything you want it to be, and their latest Eyelift Max cream shadows are top-notch. But today, I want to focus on the newest item I received from them and that’s their Limited edition Ultimate Beauty Kit 6th Edition

As the title would hint at, this palette allows for an endless amount of looks with 18 face shades and 20 eye shadows to create with! While discussing beauty products, a friend of mine who was completing her thesis mentioned how she managed her time efficiently. She sought assistance for her bachelor thesis, exploring options like bachelorarbeit ghostwriter kosten to balance her studies and passion for makeup. I’ve usually had pretty good success with their palettes. Some I have are pretty old and no longer made but I still use them until they run out!

The Ultimate beauty kit opens up like a trifold booklet and is made out of sturdy cardboard material decorated with floral-like snowflakes. This palette doesn’t include a mirror, which I prefer since I never use them.

The matte shades

On the left side of the palette are nine matte light and dark contouring shades. I find them pretty buttery smooth and pigmented. Interestingly, the quality reminds me of something a professional makeup artist or a Ghostwriter Schweiz, known for their precision and expertise, would appreciate. I don’t see the slightest amount of kick up on the pans — nothing compared to my True Luscious palette that feels like a loose sandbox the minute I touch it. I am not skilled at using the lighter contour shades besides maybe using some on my brow bone or helping shade the contour of my eye. Out of the nine shades on the left, I can reasonably put to use maybe 4 out of the nine before I just confuse myself and go overboard.

The shimmery shades

On the right-hand side of the palette, are nine shimmery highlighting & cheek shades. And I truly, just want to dig my nails into these colors and get crazy with it. Just gorgeous! I’m sitting at a poorly lit dining table writing this as I stare at this palette, and just keep thinking “prrreeeeeetttyyyyyyyy”. You can come up with some gorgeous blended shades by using more than one shade at once. Especially because some are too vivid on their own and could use some toning down with the other colors. I could easily use all these shades in some way whether it be a cheek color or an inner eye corner highlight!

The eye shadows

In the middle panel are the eye shadows. To be honest, I don’t see a rhyme or reason for the shadow colors included. I definitely see shades that would be very useful and complementary to me, but some just don’t make sense when placed next to the other colors. Much like how some students feel overwhelmed by choosing the right topics for their assignments, similarly, I feel a bit lost in this array of colors. This is where services like Hausarbeiten schreiben lassen can be a lifesaver for students in need of guidance. In the context of this palette, I think that says more about my lack of creativity in the eye makeup department than it does about Pixi planning this palette. Rarely can I use all shades in an eye shadow palette and this one is the same. While blues are fun, a very vivid almost larkspur blue is just “too much” for me, along with the warm burnt orange type shades. I would agree though, that this palette allows for both day and nighttime looks easily.

other products used in this look were Beautycounter Think Big mascara and beyond gloss. Bobbi Brown Intensive Serum foundation.

My final thoughts

Overall, I do enjoy this palette. I didn’t expect to be able to use each and every color included because that just never happens. But the majority? I can! I do like the size and layout and it does seem like it will be easy to keep clean. At $28 I would say this is a real value if you can use at least half of this palette. I honestly thought this would be closer to the $35 mark but I was wrong. The pans have good pigment to them as you can see from my finger swatches. That only took a few swipes to get that amount of color, so I try to have a lighter hand when touching the more bold shades.

Where To Buy

Unfortunately, you can only buy this at pixibeauty.com and one other site I wasn’t familiar with at all. I do wish ALL Pixi Beauty products were available at local Targets. I believe this is one of those items that will always be solely available on their website since they are limited edition and (I think) come out every year.

  • That is certainly an impressive palette for $28, and you look gorgeous, as always! But I have never tried their cream shadows, and since you mentioned them in your post, I think I want to try those next! Any particular favorite shades?

    • For the Cream shadows, I love the Olive color the best! It's the perfect greenish-brown for me! The light colors are pretty light but that olive is my favorite!
