Colorescience Barrier Pro Line
I know it’s only Spring, but when the sun starts shining bright and the heat kicks in here in Arizona we say it’s basically Summer! Something about Summer puts a smile on my face. That extra sunshine and warmth just boosts my mood like no other, does that happen for you too? That turn of mood can only lead to great things is what I think, so I soak it all up! But sunshine isn’t the only thing that puts a smile on my face. There are a few things I’ve been using lately that I can’t keep to myself because they’re too good.
Tree Hut has been mentioned on my blog and social channels. They have some enjoyable products that I always go back for, and their shave oil is one of them. In fact, I just placed an order this morning for three in different scents because it gives me a very smooth close shave. I also use their body scrubs which come in the most deliciously scented “flavors”, but today I want to share their sugar face scrubs which is the newest thing I’ve tried from them.
There is something so satisfying about using a physical scrub like Tree Hut’s Hydrating Sugar Scrub. Perhaps it’s really as simple as investing the time to take care of one’s self, or maybe it’s the results! But I know I love how my skin feels after I’ve taken a minute to massage scrub in to reveal soft, smooth skin.
This hydrating version smells like watermelon (yum!) and uses it as a natural humectant to draw moisture to the skin. Cactus water is also included in this fruity-scented scrub for its electrolytes and antioxidants that help promote optimal hydration levels in the skin. Sugar is a natural source of AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) and helps reveal smoother, more even-toned skin.

Do you take vitamins? My selection of supplements can vary through the year, but I do rely on a few things I like to take in the morning with my protein shake. But not everyone can do vitamin pills. Even I struggle with pill swallowing at times knowing that the bigger ones stick in my throat and cause that 0.22 seconds of panic trying to get it down! LOL
If that sounds like you too, you’ll want to know about GEM. GEM makes sustainable plant-based nutrition bites using whole foods that nourish the mind and body. When I checked out the ingredients, no joke, I was really excited to try these things. I had seen the brand on Instagram before but hadn’t taken the plunge. Now here I am!
GEM Daily Essential multivitamins in Citrus Ginger have their own set of benefits to them. Probiotics, D3, zinc, and turmeric are just a few of the key ingredients that are in these bites. Each of these works hard to support healthy digestion, boosting immunity and its function, fights inflammation, and aids in brain clarity. My body could use all of that!
The bites are bright yellow and slightly chewy with a citrusy flavor that has a bit of spice to it. You can eat 1-3 bites per day, so I am starting out with 1 to see how that goes. The bites come with a free travel tin as well as a bigger one to keep your bites fresh at home. GEM prides itself on the fact that its multibitamins are plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and contain no artificial colorants or fillers. They also make a nighttime bite (daily sleep essential in cherry chocolate), and their traditional daytime Daily Essential Bites in another flavor (peppermint, lemon or cocoa). I’d love to try their cocoa-flavored one next!

I’m positive these Wondermelon juices have caught your eye in stores because I know they always catch mine! This was another thing that I’ve really been wanting to try because I absolutely LOVE anything watermelon and a cold-pressed premade one that I don’t need to make myself sounds fantastic!
Wondermelon juices are made with only five ingredients or less and contain 100% organic cold-pressed juice. There are no preservatives or artificial ingredients, just healthy, delicious juice that contains antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and nutrients that serves as a refreshing, hydrating drink.
There are currently two flavors available, Cucumber Basil and Lemon Cayenne, with Cucumber Basil being my personal favorite. I find they taste the best when they are chilled and poured over a tall glass with ice. Its unique and refreshing blend of watermelon, apple, lemon, and cucumber juice creates a tart but green-tasting drink that I like served with lunch. I don’t do spicy so my husband can have the lemon cayenne version!

I hope you enjoy learning about these healthy mood-boosters I’ve been trying out! I tend to feel better when I take a deeper interest in my nutrition and health. It does take some time for my mind to catch up and realize what I’m doing for myself but a little consistency and determination at living a healthier lifestyle is what drives me to keep trying.

A healthy mood booster sounds great to me! And the flavor sounds good too. I've been doing a sugar scrub as well, and once a week or so really gives me a great glow too!
What great picks! I am especially interested in that scrub!
