Three Products From Naturium Worth Talking About

I’ve been using Naturium for a while but haven’t written much about them. I think it’s because once I finish a product, I immediately grab the next one without thinking and just put the next one to use. Naturium is a vegan, cruelty-free skincare company that aims to use responsibly sourced natural ingredients, and sustainable and eco-friendly packaging where they can.

Overall the brand has a luxurious look and feel to it. It’s elegant but remains in the price range of products available at Target which makes me happy. You feel like you’re buying something a little bit nicer for yourself when you use Naturium. I think we can all appreciate skincare which leaves us feeling a bit pampered.

While my list is longer than this blog post will be, I wanted to highlight three products that have been high in rotation lately.

Dew Glow Moisturizer SPF 50 – $22

I know you probably choked on your drink when you saw this. A chemical sunscreen? Gasp! She never talks about chemical sunscreens. I didn’t talk about them because the majority of them would cause problems for my skin or eyes. This one is different.

Dew Glow is a two-in-one, moisturizer and sunscreen, so you’re saving yourself some time and product there. Best of all, it’s SPF50. The packaging features a cap that guides you on how much sunscreen to use when applying (it has a little dip in it) which can be helpful.

The formula glides on and absorbs quickly, and includes niacinamide as well as a form of vitamin C to refine texture.

This product has never stung my eyes. Ever. It leaves my skin with a slight glow like it was properly moisturized. Never a white cast, and has worked well as a base for makeup.

I consider my skin normal to dry and this works well from Winter to Summer for me!

Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.05% – $29

I have been trying to find a good retinol product for ages. I’ve gone through countless trials of my skin getting dried out and messed up from using products that were too strong that my skin couldn’t tolerate. No matter what I did, layered it a certain way, applied only in certain areas, it just didn’t work. I started to get really frustrated that I’d be stuck buying something really expensive just so my face wouldn’t fall off.

Then I finally tried Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.05%. I went slowly. I built up over days. Sometimes I’d stop because I was lazy or thought I’d had too much sun. But when I finally committed to using it every day, I realized this product never caused a huge transition in my skin. A lot of times I’d end up with a slight red rash on my face.

When acclimating to this product, my lips did dry out when I finally pushed my usage to seven days a week. After a couple of weeks, I don’t worry about it anymore.

This is a retinaldehyde product and not actual retinol. Retinol goes through a longer chain of reactions to turn into retinoic acid which can work on fine lines, wrinkles, texture, and tone. Retinaldehyde is more gentle on the skin than retinol and is more powerful in addressing skin issues.

Naturium Retinaldehyde Cream Serum is designed to be time-released so even more gentle on the skin. They also included a fermented oligopeptide ( a smaller sized small peptide) to further help in smoothing the skin and increasing radiance.

I’m so happy I finally found a retinol product that I can use! It’s been years since I’ve had one that I can consistently use and would repurchase!

Fermented Camelia Creamy Cleansing Oil – $20

I’m a big fan of double cleansing. I wear sunscreen daily and use a pretty heavy-duty mascara — it’s a must. I’d rather use two gentle cleansers than one harsh one that messes up my skin. This product is actually recommended for a first cleanse and not a double cleanse. I use this as a single cleanse probably 25% of the time and 75% as a double cleanser.

The fermented camelia creamy cleansing oil is a crystal clear gel formula that melts on the skin when massaged. Like other oil cleansing balms, it emulsifies to a milky white liquid as it rinses away makeup and other residues.

There is something incredibly silky about this one. I actually prefer it over their tub of purple ginseng cleansing balm which lots of people love. The longer I massage it in, the more I love how it feels on the skin. I don’t experience any cloudy eyes or stinging from this product, and my skin feels very soft.

The times I use this as a single cleanser are usually when my skin is angry about something and I want to keep things nourishing, moisturizing, and simple.

I love this product. It’s meant to be a single step but works better for me overall as a double cleanser. The packaging is sleek enough (and secure enough) for travel with a click-top lid and flat tube shape (packaging is made from sugar cane bio resins, by the way!)

Get it at Naturium

There are so many products from Naturium I want to cover for you guys. Their line is very extensive, which allows you to really pick and choose key ingredients that your skin can benefit from.

What’s next on my list from them? Anything hydrating! It’s Summer and I live in Arizona so I’m looking at all the hydrating products they have!

Have you tried Naturium? What is your experience?

Naturium is cruelty-free, vegan, synthetic fragrance-free, gluten-free, and paraben-free.
