Pixi On The Glow SuperGlow Highlighters

It’s been a while since I covered anything from Pixi, but man, have they released a ton of new fun stuff since I last chatted about them!  The On The Glow Bronze and Blush sticks have been one of the most popular topics on my blog for the past year or two. Aside from Lume, if that’s a product you are interested in!

But back to Pixi. One of my favorite drugstore-level brands that has skincare and makeup has now released highlighter sticks to accompany the blush and bronzer sticks, and they come in four colors. Pixi Beauty On The Glow Super Glow Highlighter Sticks.

The Packaging

The packaging is the same as the others, a flat stick with a click-top cap that stays in place. The shape alone makes it easy to handle and apply and requires no beauty tools to perfect.

The Formula

I appreciate the hydrating and moisturizing formula. It glides across the skin from the first swipe and doesn’t take time to “warm up”. The gel-cream sticks have ginseng and aloe to condition the skin and fruit extracts. There is no detectable scent, and I don’t see anything in the ingredient list that looks related to fragrance either.

The highlighter colors are sheer and not glittery. More the smooth shimmer side without flecks or individual particles standing out. They have light-catching ability and shades that enhance the skin beautifully. Pixi says they use 3D pigments to bring out the ultimate glow on the skin.

The Finish

You can apply it over foundation just fine. It doesn’t disturb what’s underneath. From reviews I have read people also successfully apply this over a set/powdered face. I would use this before powder, but that’s just me.

I love to use this on my cheeks, brow bones, and a slight sweep down the nose and cupids bow, then pat it out to blend. I find that NaturalLustre works very well for my light-medium complexion and that the GildedGold will look better when I have some summer color. The pink is very pretty and so is the white-ish one! I picture the white-ish one for wintery looks and the pink can layer over any blush for more dimension.

Shades shown: IcePearl, PetalDew, GildedGold, NaturalLustre

P.S. Don’t throw away the clear little plastic inner cap. That will help keep the stick from drying out and smushing into the cap!

Where to buy:

Each stick is $18
