As my last few posts have shown, I’ve been using almost the entire line from Lumavera’s Anti-aging skincare line. So far, I’ve brought to you the oxygenating masque, the facial cleansing gel, and now, the anti-aging serum. Lumavera’s skincare line uses stem cell plant technology, along with potent levels of antioxidants to fight wrinkles and firm the skin. I always like to remind my readers that Lumavera uses no parabens, sulfates, or artificial colors or fragrances. They are also cruelty-free.
I’ve been using the anti-aging serum for about 2 and a half months now and gotta say that THIS is one nice serum to treat my skin to. Suitable for all skin types, this serum helps diminish fine lines while improving skin firmness for a “flawless” appearance. I definitely feel like my skin is getting “food” and feels smooth and nice after applying.
The serum uses a combination of vitamin C, peptides, and plant stem cell extracts that do three things: repair, firm, and brighten. Vitamin C is a known for its skin brightening properties as well as increasing collagen production. PhytocellTec Argan gives the formula its stem cell extracts that tell the skin to repair itself (with collagen and elastin). Aloe acts an anti-inflammatory while the veggie & plant blends fight radicals and brighten the skin. This serum is FULL of plant and vegetable extracts. FULL. And while I couldn’t say my skin has changed drastically I can say that this, along with some good makeup has caused a handful of people to ask what I’ve been doing differently with my skin. That it looks younger and healthier than ever. (makeup used btw has been IT Cosmetics Oxygen Foundation)
As someone in my early thirties, I like to do anything I can to slow the aging process of my skin now. I put my skin through torture in my twenties, and like many of us later on are trying to make up for that lost time. Yes, tanning beds and smoking cigs were things I enjoyed in my past that attributed to my skin being less than spectacular in the past. Not going to lie, I miss a good tan, but I don’t miss all the obvious sun damage I had by my mid-twenties. Now’s the time for vitamins, plenty of water, and really good skincare.
My usual routine is to wash my face AM/PM and then follow with this serum. A full pump will give you more than enough for your face and neck. If you can, don’t use a full pump, I think you can use less and still get the same benefits. I’m almost at the three month mark and I see my bottle is nearing empty, Id say I have another month? I like that you can tell when you will run out with this airless pump bottle, so you know when to replace it. But back to my point, I use this stuff twice daily after cleansing. My skin feels smooth and primed for makeup application, and not too tight. Most days I’ll follow with small drop of moisturizer and carry on with makeup (or nothing if I’m home for the night). I could have probably used a little less to stretch it more if I tried. Too late now.
Currently, this serum retails for $120 a bottle online. That’s some pretty luxurious skincare for me as I usually cannot treat myself to products that cost that much. And to say that the bottle will last someone on average 3-4 months with twice daily usage– well, that’s a good amount of time — but that’s still pretty high up there–although its hard to ignore when your skin feels so great. It’s got me contemplating how I’ll get my second or third bottles. Luckily for my readers, Lumavera is offering you guys 50% off with code: BEAUTY50. That’s pretty awesome! If you had to choose one item to try first I’d say this one or the oxygenating masque!
Keep following the blog as I continue to unveil my thoughts on the Lumavera anti aging line I’m using. I was just sent another item to try that has yet to be released, their Filler: Dual Peptide Lip Volumizer Serum. A very lightweight, non-sticky, petrolatum-free lip treatment that moisturizes and repairs with the help of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that acts as a humectant for the delicate skin of the lips. And don’t think that there wont be some planned to be given to you guys! Just wait and see!
Have you tried Lumavera products yet? What did you think? Share in the comments below!
