There are certain times in our life when things just feel hectic, overwhelming and tiresome. It just happens; young or old, we all have busy lives and it can take a hold of us and leave you feeling drained. I just got done planning (and enjoying) my wedding which left me absolutely drained by the time I got back home. I needed a boost in any way possible and was more than excited to try a new, upcoming brand Healanah and their aromatherapy healing sprays to set my mind back into happy land.
Healanah created their line to boost mood and energy levels in a safe, tranquil and healthy way- aromatherapy. They also incorporated the healing powers of gemstones to help balance the Chakras of the body for a balanced state of mind. I myself was not familiar with what chakras were but found out that our body has 7 chakras (spiritual power centers of the body) in which energy passes through and balance each other out so that we are (hopefully) in a state of equilibrium.
There are 7 chakras in the body but there are 8 sprays because Healanah felt it a MUST to include “love” into the set. Each spray is connected to each chakra of the body (but also includes the love spray). You can read more here.
I’m a pretty happy person. I do over stress about details but for the most part I feel that I am very in control of what’s going on around me and the more control I have over it, the less stressed I am. (control freak, maybe? possibly?) A wedding is ALL about details, and boy is there A LOT of them. I chose to do the wedding planning entirely on my own because I knew what I wanted and how I wanted it done. So like I was saying earlier, at the end of it all, I was very pleased with the outcome but by the end of the weekend I was saying to myself that I really didn’t care if something had gone wrong anyways. I was tired.
When I got home my package arrived with three sprays to try. I was sent Love, Happy, and Energy and chose those three for specific reasons. I chose love because I am now a newlywed and while there is a ton of love in our home, it never hurts to start your day with a spritz of scent that reminds you of it. I choose happy because I sit at home alone often working on a computer and don;t see actual people each day and that can be a sort of a downer. A little boost of happiness never hurts anyone. And lastly, I chose energy because I knew I would come home exhausted from a wedding, and could use an invigorating scent to pick me up after a tiring workout at my gym.
Love is the most beautiful scent out of the three I chose and is made with Rose Otto Essential OIl and infused with Rose Quartz. Rose Quartz is the unconditional stone of love and thought to enhance the feel in any situation. I spritz this on my chest and breathe it in for a few minutes until the scent dissipates. I’ve also thought of spraying this on our bedroom pillows right before bed. It says to spray throughout the room, but I honestly love it on myself and had no irritation.
Happy is an uplifting citrusy scent with a bright yellow label. Yellow is the color that is thought to make us happy and is thought to be the color of the solar plexus chakra. I love spritzing this on me while I work away at the computer or during particularly stressful moments. The formula is infused with gold and citrine. Citrine is known to bring wearers positive energy and promote clarity.
Energy is a warmer scent incorporating cinnamon and ylang ylang together that peaks just seconds after hitting the nose. It is infused with ruby and garnet. The ruby is thought to bring passion, protection and and prosperity and was highly valued by nobility back in the day. I could use a little bit of all of that! I definitely think of this as a more “sensual” scent and like to use it at night time rather than in the morning.
I’ve never relied on aromatherapy to boost spirits before but I love the idea. These are quick, portable and easy for anyone to use. I can easily throw Happy in my bag and spritz throughout the day when I feel I need the boost.
Healanah is a new company, and you can find more information on them by visiting their website, Facebook, or Instagram.
