Getting The Perfect Manicure
When I first started blogging I mostly did nail swatches. I wasn’t a pro at makeup photos and could never quite capture the images I needed for blog-worthy posts, but I WAS good at nail photos. Since then, my collection of nail polishes grew ten-fold from a handful of office tasteful pinks and nudes to every shade in the rainbow! In fact, I had way too many and had to downsize and just gave a bunch away to my girlfriends because ya know….I eventually will buy more and I’ll need the space to fill up all over again!
But over time, I have tried many different cuticle treatments to get the perfect healthy manicure look. Oils, wipe off creams, leave-on treatments, and the good ol’ nipping of the cuticles when everything else fails. It was only recently I was invited to try out Nail Butter and I have now found my holy grail for achieving the perfect manicure. It has been my newest go-to item when it’s time to do my nails because it smells SO good and works amazingly well.
This wonderous little jar of magic has simple but skin nourishing ingredients that soften your cuticles and keep them from snagging. The all-natural blend of essential oils, lanolin, beeswax, mustard oils and vegetable oils soak into the skin and give it a healthy sheen immediately. As the instructions say, you should apply this treatment twice a day for the first 30 days and then you can start using once a day to maintain. I’m a bit forgetful at applying anything to my nails once a day, let alone twice a day, but I did manage to get in a good two weeks of twice a day rub ins. All I can say is WOW. Proof is in the puddin’ ladies! If you want your nails to shine, then take care of them cuticles as best you can!
The creamy treatment needs to be kept in a cool, dry place or it will look a little melt-y in the jar–which doesn’t affect its efficacy – but good to note. When my butter arrived it was sitting in a hot mailbox for a few hours so I stuck it in the fridge and fixed that problem pronto. Since then I keep it with my other nail products and sometimes leave it by my kitchen sink to apply after washing dishes.
Nail Butter is cruelty-free and comes in two versions, Gardenia and Lemongrass. I’m a total sucker for Gardenia but was sent Lemongrass (their newest version) which is a very uplifting, fresh scent. Once I finish this tub I intend to purchase the Gardenia since most of my fragrances have Gardenia in them. (Gardenia is a white floral, tropical type scent).
At $24 a tub this tub will last you a very long time. So little is needed for 10 nails at a time that you’ll be happy to know you invested in a long-lasting product. To find out more about Nail Butter or be swooned by photos of amazing manicures you MUST check out their Facebook, Twitter or Instagram…you will not be disappointed.
