PixiBeauty Vitamin C Skincare Collection

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C review by iliketotalkblog

In case you missed it, PixiBeauty began to unveil a huge selection skincare products they were adding to the current line in early 2019. While the Rose Infused Collection had already captured my heart with its ability to soothe my skin, I couldn’t shake the itch to try their Vitamin C Skincare Collection! An entire collection featuring good ol’ Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant responsible for boosting collagen production and evening out skin tone, coupled with Ferulic acid, probiotics or Willow Bark for a brightening effect.

I already use PixiBeauty’s Glow Tonic which works as a great glycolic exfoliator, but was looking for different ways to get more Vitamin C in my skincare routine. My skin is combination, has some hyperpigmentation from the sun and acne, fine lines, and bouts of sensitivity when high stress hits where the Rose Infused collection really helps.

Without wasting any more time. Let’s get to the new items in the PixiBeauty Vitamin C Skincare collection. As I expected it has a light citrus scent throughout. Nothing overpowering, but should be noted.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C Juice Cleanser review by iliketotalkblog

Vitamin C Juice Cleanser this type of is somewhat unique to the rest from PixiBeauty in that it’s a cleansing water, much like a micellar water without the powerful ability to break up makeup. Best reserved for those times when you wore light or no makeup, or as a follow up to a makeup removing cleanser. I found this to be gentle enough for sensitive skin days and okay to use around my eyes which can get easily irritated. I love, love, love that this includes Ferulic Acid in it’s formula because it’s known to brighten the skin very well. They also make note that they use a stable vitamin C which I’m guessing explains the clear packaging.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C Tonic review by iliketotalkblog

Vitamin C Tonic – When this bottle runs out I plan to replace it with the BIG bottle because I really enjoy using tonics on my skin. I consider it the most lightweight step in a skincare routine and follows cleansing. With Ferulic Acid, Vitamin C and Probiotics at work, I know my skin is getting another dose of antioxidants that are working hard to reverse the signs of times while feeling very refreshing. I’m not sure how much Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid i’m getting in something I consider a toner, but I enjoy how it makes my skin feel and like using it.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C serum review by iliketotalkblog

Vitamin C Serum – I enjoy the consistency of this serum. It’s not too watery to run through your fingers which makes it apply better in my opinion. You do need to wait a minute for the tackiness to dry down, but once it does it feels like nothing on. I don’t find that it interferes/interacts with any other serums, products or makeup that I’m using and hasn’t caused me any breakouts.  Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid are the key ingredients in this serum and I definitely plan to keep this in my routine as well.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C lotion review by iliketotalkblog

Vitamin C lotion – This collagen boosting lotion will give you a nice hydrated glow with just a pea sized amount of product! It spreads wonderfully, absorbs well and has a nice scent to it. While I do like the lotion, I’m not sure this is my favorite. I really enjoy the Rose Ceramide cream much more for hydrating and soothing purposes.

Pixi Beauty Vitamin C Caviar Balm review by iliketotalkblog

Vitamin C Caviar BalmI really enjoy the feel of PixiBeauty balms. The Rose Flash balm can be used as a primer, mask or moisturizer and the Vitamin C Caviar Balm is also a hit. This leave on mask has a hydrating feel to it without the “glow” of the lotion. More matte or dry? It’s a finish that I prefer over the lotion. It has a very comforting feel when using it in my nighttime routine.

I think there are some really great items introduced via their Vitamin C line and I plan to do a mix and match of their other lines for the perfect skincare routine! Some other staples from PixiBeauty that I like to use is the Rose Cream Cleanser, Glow Tonic, Rose Flash Balm and the Glow Mud Mask! I do really feel like the addition of the Vitamin C products helped reduce the appearance of some scars from some recent acne. Blemishes healed and flaked off and It’s not so “red” as they usually look weeks after.

Did I mention that you can get everything at Target too? Like, couldn’t you describe a more perfect situation? I mean, c’mon! But I will say you should sign up for the emails on their direct site because they have awesome sales all the time.

Are there any items from this line you might be interested in trying?

  1. I love Pixi! I am allergic to Vit C, but I recently figured out that I can use it as a spot treatment on acne scars to lighten them (without irritation that I’d normally get from putting it all over my face)!

  2. I’ve been hoping that Pixi will send some of this out. I couldn’t wait though and bought a sample set and the serum a few weeks ago and have been lovingly using it. I prefer the scent to the rose products so this is more up my alley. I’m glad they are expanding their lines.
