You guys! One of my favorite brands, Colorescience is having their Friends & Family sale starting TODAY (runs from 8/18 to 8/24 – end of post has more details) and I don’t want any of you to miss out! Colorescience makes some of the BEST mineral-based sun protection and beauty products that I use on the regular. This is the perfect time to replenish what you are running low on, or try out some new spectacular products during the sale.
I thought I would share some of my favorites from the brand so you know more about what Colorescience has to offer!
SunForgettable Total Protection Face Shield – I recently reviewed and swatched all three Face Sheild products here. If you’re looking for a mineral-based sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum SPF 50/PA+++ protection then you may want to consider the SunForgettable face shield line. It comes in three shades [original (universal), glow (golden pearlescent), and bronze (warm, bronze)] and are mixable for the perfect cast-free shade. Not only is this moisturizing sunscreen formula high in antioxidants, but it also is non-comedogenic, it’s reef-safe, non-nano, and also protects against blue light and infrared radiation. These are my go-to day to day sunscreens that work well alone or underneath makeup.
SunForgettable Total Protection Sport Stick – The sport stick offers the same protection as the liquid sunscreens, but in an easy to apply stick that works great for kids or active lifestyles. I don’t like to waste my tinted sunscreens on workouts, so I use this blendable stick for coverage when I’m outside. The biggest plus about this sunscreen is that it remains sting-free even in the most sweaty workouts. Just swipe it on white so you can see where you applied and blend in! It’s so easy that I can even let my four-year-old apply sunscreen to her own face on her own under supervision.
Sun Forgettable Total Protection Color Balms – Most people scoff at the idea of traditional makeup having sunscreen in it because it simply isn’t effective enough for true sun protection– but that’s what sets the Colorescience Total Protection line apart from other brands. These are more like sunscreen sticks with cosmetics benefits to them. The Color Balms have SPF 50/PA+++ protection and have multiple uses for the lips, eyes, and cheeks. You can even mix them together for a customized color look. I love the creamy, easy to apply formula of these sticks and showed how I used them in a makeup routine here.
Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy – There are probably only 2-3 eye treatments that I could ever get behind out of the dozens I’ve sampled — the Colorescience Total Eye 3-in-1 Renewal Therapy is one of them. This product is the treat threat product in that it conceals and brightens the under-eye area, offers SPF 35 protection, and treats under-eye area concerns like dryness, wrinkles, and puffiness with its high antioxidant, hydrating formula. It comes in four shades and has a comfortable, cooling, angled metal-tipped applicator to dab and blend the product with. I love hiding my dark under-eye circles with shade medium and can even prep my lids for shadow if I choose. This is one of those “if I had to bring one beauty product on a deserted island” type products, for sure.
Total Eye Restore Regimen – If you really want to give your eyes some red carpet treatment, then the Total Eye Restore Regimen is a worthwhile kit to consider. Not only does it contain the Total Eye 3-in-1 product from above, but also has their Total Eye Concentrate and twelve pairs of their hydrogel treatment masks. This kit produces both long term and immediate results that we hope for in an eye product. You know I already think the concealer type product is amazing — but couple it with the rollerball eye treatment and its NEXT LEVEL. Total Eye Concentrate is an easy to apply nighttime treatment that cools upon application and hydrates those delicate under-eye areas. Just shake, roll it on from the inner eye to the crow feet area and gently pat in with your fingers. Then 1-2 a week, put those hydrogel masks on top for the ultimate eye treatment. You only need to wear them for ten minutes to see just how smooth they make the under-eye area and you will wish there was a year supply of these babies. They really make a difference!
Hydrating Cleansing Cloths – I get pretty sweaty after workouts so a wet wipe after a workout is always appreciated. Although these hydrating cleansing cloths are intended to help remove makeup and refresh the skin, I find their non-irritating and oh-so-soft cloths great post-workout. They also help remove mineral sunscreen which usually needs an extra helping hand in removal. Each wipe is soaked in hyaluronic acid and coconut extract to hydrate the skin, while green and white tea offer antioxidant protection, and aloe vera, cucumber, chamomile soothe the skin. I also love that snap tight packaging to keep the wipes fresh in my gym bag and keep them from drying out.
Lip Shine SPF 35 – Like a little lip color? Me too. Colorescience has some mineral-based glosses that have SPF 35 and gorgeous color to them. The non-sticky formula feels cushiony on the lips, and comes in five shades (one being clear) and contains maxi-peptide to give the lips a plumper appearance. I’ve been hooked on the Coral shade this Summer but want to get my hands on more colors — Pink and Champagne are calling my name!
These are just a handful of my favorites from Colorescience, but I’ve tried so many more from their mascara, bronzer, tints, primers, and treatments! It’s hard to get it all in one post!
Don’t forget that the sale runs from 8/18 to 8/24! You’ve got a few days to pick what works for you!
Colorescience is cruelty-free, uses 100% pure, natural minerals, reef-safe, and formulated with potent levels of clinically-tested ingredients to make quality products.
