The last time I bought something from Ilia was February 2020. I remember this clearly because my family and I had already packed up our house in California after selling it and we stayed a few days in Anaheim while all our stuff was being delivered to Arizona. I brought my daughter to Sephora that day and I treated myself to Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint that I had been lusting over for months. I’m glad I did it because it’s one complexion product I reach for a lot and keep two shades handy for all seasons. I’ve also been wanting their Limitless mascara forever but wasn’t willing to pay shipping for one mascara that I may hate — but fast forward to May 2021, and I saw they had a Meet The Minis Clean Face Set that included not only the mascara but a few others I wanted to try. Time to finally commit and order!
The Meet The Minis Clean Face Set contains four best sellers from ilia Beauty which include their limitless mascara, balmy gloss tinted lip oil, liquid powder chromatic eye tint, and their lip wrap mask. Each as enticing as the next with their clean, minimal packaging, and gorgeous shades that look like they were made for me. I enjoy a pretty “almost no makeup” look and Ilia’s products fit the bill. The products do appear small, and I’ve seen some complaints in reviews about that…but it clearly says it’s a mini set, and honestly, I still think there is ample amount of product to last for a while when it comes to lip gloss, eye tint, and lip mask. If anything the mascara will get used up first!
Limitless Lash Mascara
I’ve seen so many bloggers and IGers using this mascara and it sounded like everything I looked for in a mascara. One that lifts, curls, lengthens, and adds a bit of volume. The wand is unique in that it’s dual-sided and looks like a comb instead of a spoolie on one side, and I’m happy to report it comes out clean when you remove it from the tube. That’s such a huge buzzkill if I see excess waste on a mascara wand and it usually ends up in the trash pile for me. While my lashes don’t appear as long as all the beautiful women who have modeled this mascara, I do love what it did for my puny lashes. The wand allows you to easily coat and separate the lashes well and has survived some pretty disgustingly hot days without flaking or ending up under my eyes. The full-sized mascara runs $28 on their site and that is a hard price for me to swallow even if it’s the best mascara ever. I would splurge on another mini size possibly after I see how this tube holds up. Limitless Lash Mascara is 100% dye-free, and gluten-free, and uses arginine to fortify lashes and make them stronger.
Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil
Glosses are my jam. I have tons of lipsticks but i’d say 95% of the time I choose a gloss. This Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil is everything I look for in a gloss. For one, it’s completely non-sticky, and applies fairly “thin” and not goopy, and offers a nice sheen to the lips. There is something about these new clean beauty brands and how they are formulating their lipsticks and glosses — they are incredibly moisturizing without being heavy or thick at all and I love it! The shade I got was “only you” which is a neutral nude which actually looks quite pink on me (in a good way). A YLBB shade and I could easily wear four out of the six shades they offer. Balmy Gloss uses hyaluronic acid and hydrating Salicornia to plump up the lips and meadowfoam seed oil to lock in that moisture. A full-sized gloss costs $26 and I already see myself buying at least one more shade when I get to a Sephora in person again.
Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint
I wasn’t sure how these would turn out for me. The reviews again made it seem that these were impossible to blend. I’m not sure what all those other people were doing but I dabbed my lids and patted it in just fine. I was absolutely amazed at how well “mythic” rose gold enhanced the color of my blue eyes. If it were up to me, I would have chosen a champagne color but this really showed me what a different color could do for me! Liquid Powder Chromatic Eye Tint comes in eight metallic shades and applies like a cream that needs to be patted/blended fairly quickly. It’s vegan, soy-free, gluten-free, and uses horse chestnut flower to smooth skin for a better application. I would be curious how these colors would mix together for a different look, but I wince at the $28 price tag. I guess some things I am not willing to spend the money on even though I can see it’s high quality and I love it. Too bad they didn’t make a mini set of just the eye tints. I’d consider that!
Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask
Lastly, there is the Lip Wrap Hydrating Mask which comes in the cutest little jar. Oh my, it may be small, but the formula feels mighty. I go through bouts of dry lips, and while that hasn’t happened lately, I always welcome anything that going to give me softer lips. I was able to scoop lip wrap out with my nail easily and apply it to my lips. The formula feels cushiony on the lips and while there is a mild scent of lavender described on their website I can’t detect it while wearing. Lip Wrap uses hyaluronic acid and Salicornia to hydrate and plump the lips, and papaya extract to gently exfoliate to smooth. Comparing this to Laneige’s lip mask I would say this has a more velvet feel to it. While producing the same results. I usually use Laneige when I’m about to go to bed and my lips are a wreck. I feel like this mask could also do well while I sleep. I thoroughly enjoy this lip mask, but I have so many other lip treatments that I don’t see myself needing to buy this. Once I finish one, two more pop up. What a problem to have, I know.
I’m really happy with my purchase. I’ve wanted to try more things from Ilia Beauty and this was a great opportunity to try a handful for a great price. The entire mini kit was $28 and I feel I am getting my monies worth because all the products performed very well. I wear minimal makeup so I see these miniatures lasting me quite some time!

I like mini sets especially when I’m unsure of what I’d buy. The lavender in the lip mask wouldn’t do it for me but the other 3 sound good, especially the lip tint.
I am a longtime fan of Ilia, and this is a great little set of minis!
I have a couple of Ilia lipsticks in my stash that I should dig out. The mascara sounds like one I would like. That wand is exactly the style I prefer. I love mini sets. Nice purchase!
