Three Ways I Keep My Skin Looking Healthy

This post has been sponsored by Neutrogena®. All thoughts and opinions are my own

Before taking my daughter to her speech therapy appointment last week, we decided to kill some time across the street at Rite Aid. We frequently make stops there when time allows to scan the beauty aisles and maybe grab a snack before we go to class. It was the perfect time for me to stock up on my must-haves from Neutrogena® since I had just run out and saw they were on sale.

Fall has just started to show its face here in Orange County, which means the temperature drops just a touch while the air gets a little more dry. I don’t need a calendar to tell me when fall hits because my skin starts to show the telltale signs as soon as it feels the change. I am a human barometer!

I love that I can get everything I need at Rite Aid in one fell swoop. Being a work-from-home mom means I have little time between my daughter and her commitments, as well as my own! I don’t have time to hit three stores a day to grab everything I need—I need it all in one convenient place. It also helps that the place is kept nicely in order. I get a twitch in my eye when aisles are messy and I can’t find the things I need.

With only ten minutes to spare at the store, I was able to grab my Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Exfoliating Facial Cleanser, the HydroBoost Hydrating Serum (a fave of mine), and their Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Body Gel Cream…and maybe a bag of candy. Can anyone leave Rite Aid without snacks? I think not.

Is it any wonder why I rely on the Neutrogena® Hydro Boost line? Anyone who knows me, knows I love how hyaluronic acid (the key ingredient in their Hydro Boost line) makes my skin feel hydrated and comfortable. I love that the exfoliating cleanser is soap-free and dermatologist-recommended. But what I really love is that it plumps the skin and makes it feel SO smooth. The “wet” gel texture of both the cleanser and the hydrating serum make it feel like a daily treat for the skin, while the fresh scent isn’t overpowering.

But keeping my skin happy doesn’t just stop there. Happy and healthy looking skin not only includes the right skincare products but also taking the time to give yourself those “self-care” moments we all need and deserve. In case you didn’t know, stress shows up on your skin. So not only do you need to choose the correct products to address its needs but doing things like a daily evening or morning skincare ritual helps. I like to treat myself to infrared sauna treatments throughout the week and follow with dry brushing when I get home. My “sauna time” is time for me to release those stressful thoughts or set my intentions for the day.

Dry brushing right after the sauna, and just before washing your face and body, can do wonders for the mood as well as the skin. For one, it’s invigorating! And not only are you exfoliating the skin for a smooth canvas, it will readily absorb skincare ingredients better and help develop that healthy glow we all love. The best feeling is slathering on body cream after dry brushing and showering and feeling your skin soak up all that goodness! There is something extra special about gel formulas that my skin just loves. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and completely drenches my skin in the moisture it needs. When you try it, I know you’ll go, “Uh huh. That’s what she was talking about.”

Right now is the perfect time to try the Neutrogena’s® Hydro Boost line because you can earn a $10 rewards Visa when you spend $30 or more (excluding tax) on participating Neutrogena® products in one transaction at Rite Aid if you buy during the month of November (11/01/2019 – 11/30/2019)!

  • I've been really curious about the Neutrogena Hydroboost line. Once I make a dent in my cleansers, I was thinking of trying the Hydroboost Cleanser. I like Rite Aid too, but unfortunately near me north of Boston, we don't have many Rite Aid's and some have recently closed :(
