I always get very excited about sharing products from Colorescience because I’ve been using them for years and I’ve never been steered wrong by them. If you’re not familiar with them, Colorescience specializes in mineral-based sunscreens and cosmetics, as well as clinical skincare products. You’d typically find them in Dermatology or MedSpa offices, but they also sell their products in a few places. WHAT CAN TOTAL EYE 3-IN-1 DO?
So what can Total Eye 3-in-1 really do? Friends, let me tell you! For one, it offers immediate color correction. You can also call it a concealer, I think most look at it as a color corrector because it comes in four colors and isn’t as opaque (IMO) if you compare it to a traditional makeup concealer that would be offered in 20+ colors. That’s fine though because the shades they do offer are buildable and can work across a range of skin tones. It’s meant to brighten and balance out that deep, dark sunken in blue color some of us get under our eyes and the medium works great for me. I don’t need to put any concealer on top of this because the color correction is spot on.
The applicator is a metal doe-foot type where the product dispenses out of a little hole on the top. Because it’s made of metal it is soothing and cooling which helps with puffiness too. This isn’t a big issue for me, but I appreciate it on days when I do wake up to a puffy face.

Total Eye 3-in-1 also offers mineral-based broad spectrum SPF 35 PA+++ protection. So a few things about this. I’m not opposed to using chemical sunscreens, but mineral-based is so much less irritation around the eyes. In fact, it’s not just less, there is zero irritation putting this all over my lids, inner corners, under eyes, and crow area. None of it migrates into the eyes and causes stinging. If it did, I simply wouldn’t use it. I don’t have time for that! Do I get creasing under my eyes? I can if I put on too much. But patting it in with your fingers and possibly following with a small blender sponge can help you avoid that. I want to also mention that the iron oxides in this (a component that adds color to the product) actually protect your skin from HEV(high energy visible light – think blue light from devices and computer screens).

If you can use this on the eyelid and above the crease, then I’m really interested in it because it contains SPF. I wonder if it is safe for use there?
Yes! They recommend using it over the entire eye area: “Smooth product over the entire orbital area ensuring even coverage from under eye to brow, including eyelids”
