I think I would feel very stagnant if there wasn’t always a few things I could work on for myself. My health and my family’s health are very important to me. I always try to find ways for “better living” because it makes me feel good, whether it be a new exciting way to get some exercise in, new food to try, or giving myself a challenge within my hobbies. A happier Claudia is going to be a more productive and outgoing Claudia, so we always want to strive for that. Confidence is something that I’m always working on.

Giving Myself Baby Smooth Skin

I think it’s clear from my blog that I kinda have a thing for beauty products. They are fun to explore, and make me feel pampered and beautiful — and I absolutely love that! Tree Hut has some of my favorite things to pamper myself with like their sugar scrubs. If you haven’t tried one yet, please do yourself a favor and pick up a tub this weekend. You will not regret purchasing these deliciously scented scrubs that will polish your skin to a super smooth finish.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with their Strawberry Sugar Scrub because it smells SO good! I love using these scrubs before I shave and especially before I use faux tanning creams. Not only does the sugar do a fantastic job of exfoliating the skin making it smooth, but it also contains BHA’s which penetrate the skin more deeply to dissolve excess oil and dead skin cells. The skin-brightening action of vitamin C from the strawberries doesn’t hurt either! Oh, and if you get their scrub, I HIGHLY suggest grabbing their shave oil too. You can thank me later!

Fading Old Scars With New Skin

Did you have an idea you could help fade scars with the help of silicone? I’ve heard for ages that vitamin E is one of those ingredients you should use to help improve the appearance of scars but after having my daughter, I learned about silicone strips and gels that help smooth things out and make them lighter.

New Skin is not a new brand to me. I use their liquid bandages for hand injuries and my husband likes using them too. New Skin Scar Fade Silicone Gel is something new in our household, but we’re excited to see the results!  Best of all, it’s so easy to use and doesn’t interfere with our usual daily lifestyles!  My husband has some scarring from a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago and we’re going to use it on his hand where we notice it the most. We look forward to seeing the results since it claims to smooth out texture by up to 86%, 84% in color, and 64% in height of scars! These are very promising numbers for the treatment of a visible body part, and I know my husband will be happy to see the scar fade over time.

Leak-free Confidence With Tena

Did I think I would be that lady who peed her pants as a grown adult? Certainly not. Incontinence is something that affects a lot of women — more than we realize!  For some, it comes with menopause, illness, or even as a postpartum surprise. For me, it was holding a 9lb baby in my belly that loved to jump on my bladder and make it weak as jello. It has made for some rather embarrassing moments in my first year as a mom and now that my daughter is six, I’ve learned to just live with it, which isn’t the most confident way to deal with it.

It’s not something that is a problem for me all the time, but if we need to jump rope in Crossfit, it is a well-known joke we tease each other about because we women can’t escape it! With jump-roping comes unexpected leaks which is where Tena Intimates pads come to save the day.  I don’t need one every day, but when I know I will jump rope I keep these in my bag. Bonus points are that they are smooth and discreet under leggings — I wouldn’t use them if they weren’t!

Protein-Packed Snacks from Tone It Up

As someone who trains almost daily, I have a metabolism like a furnace most days. My husband often wonders “where I put it” because every couple of hours I’m hungry and can be found snacking on something to keep me satiated. I also want to make sure my protein levels are optimal because I’m either trying to grow muscle or keep it – but definitely don’t want it to wither away!

Tone It Up plant-based Protein cookies and bars give me 10g of protein per snack and I want to stress how absolutely DELICIOUS these snacks are. Like…I hid them in my house — away from everyone in my family because I will not let anyone else eat them. I’m obsessed with snickerdoodles in general so to have a soft-baked protein version makes my heart sing! And come on…who doesn’t love a yummy chocolate peanut butter treat? It’s like a candy bar but one that is good for you! Haha! Lucky for me, they are available right down the street when it’s time to stock up again, and that will be real soon because the boxes I had are near gone!

These two flavors were SO good but I think I’m going to sample the Lemon Blondie cookies and Birthday Cake bars next!

Where to Buy:  Walmart

All of these little things I do help make me the confident girl who’s typing this out today. Don’t get me wrong, I still struggle with things some days. But I know that working on one’s self is a lifelong process and I’m happy with where I’m at in my journey.

What little things do you do for yourself to boost confidence and ensure a little more happiness? I’d love to hear! It may help me too!
