I haven’t talked about Saltair in a while and I feel terrible about it because they’ve had so many new releases but it’s been a busy quarter for me! If you need a quick recap, Saltair is a sustainable beauty brand that uses active skincare ingredients throughout its products. They are vegan, cruelty-free, and also have partnered with Plastic Bank to help remove plastics from our oceans, as well as donate a percentage of their profits to One Tree Planted.

They really are a fantastic brand that I’ve grown to love and I really love that they have managed to keep things affordable while feeling like luxury products.

So while they’re currently announcing the release of two new haircare lines, I’m going to take you on a tour of their latest scent addition, Pink Beach, which is a sensual tropical blend of coconut, almond blossom, and vanilla. In other words, sweet and beachy!

When I tell you this is the most beautiful scent, I mean it. This scent made my heart sing. It’s familiar and exotic all in one. I immediately thought — date night! But honestly, I want to smell like this ALL the time so I use what I can almost daily!

The Pink Beach Collection includes a serum body wash, a deodorant, a body oil, and shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. I don’t have curly hair, and those are new additions being released this week so I won’t speak on the shampoo and conditioner. But the other three? Looooooove!

The Serum Body Wash comes in an aluminum pump bottle. You can buy it with or without the pump and keep the pump for future bottles you buy. It lathers up nicely and fills the shower with its beautiful scent. The key ingredients are coconut oil (to nourish our skin barrier), coconut phospholipids (replenishes essential fatty acids), Fermented Shiunko Pink Oil (an antioxidant-rich oil to soften the skin), and Sodium Hyaluronate (to hydrate the skin).  At $12 a bottle, you can easily stock up on this one and a couple of others to keep things interesting in the shower.

The Nourishing Body Oil was the WOW product for me out of the collection. I love using body oils throughout the year, I live in a desert climate and get dry easily so I always have them handy. The oil comes in a beautiful frosted glass bottle with a pump and cap. And I’m happy to report the pump doesn’t get all messy and oily with use. It stays clean and dispenses a manageable amount to work with.

The oil contains fermented Saururus, kukui, cacay, moringa, and squalane, along with plant actives to keep skin supple, moisturized, and improve the skin barrier. The scent of the oil does linger enough for you to catch its smell randomly throughout the day. I like to work a few drops into my hair and nape of my neck but also a couple of pumps to my body lotion.

The Skincare Deodorant is awesome too. Same exact beautiful scent, but in an aluminum-free deodorant that has skincare benefits to it. It also has refill options so less plastic is being used! The deodorant uses skin-activated acidification (with the help of salicylic acid)  to keep you odor-free. It also includes Zinc-ricinoleate, algae, and oils to neutralize odors further, and condition and balances the skin.

I do apply the deodorant about 3 times a day. I don’t think that’s crazy for a deodorant, especially with the schedule I have. It seemed to be a big question of why I need to apply “so often”. I work out early morning (application 1), then I come home and shower (application 2), and an afternoon/evening swipe to refresh.

The refills are super easy to handle and the packaging is sleek and beautiful.

I was really in love with the Island Orchid collection, and also exotic pulp which is also tropical but fruitier. I feel all three could easily be blended in ways to create your own signature scent.

I’m curious about what other fragrances they might have in mind for down the road. The owner, Iskra really has created a brand that I have fallen in love with so expect to hear more as more releases come out. Im currently trying out one of the haircare sets and will report soon!
