Youth Foria Review by iliketotalkblog

Youthforia has only been out for a couple of years now, but I’ve had my eye on them ever since I started seeing their blush oil ads. I loved the idea of makeup that was so good for your skin, that you could fall asleep in it.

Don’t get me wrong – I love getting into a skincare routine at the end of the day, but the idea that it was GOOD for your skin was really appealing. Youthforia is a clean, sustainable beauty brand that prides itself on its green chemistry-based formulas which means all products are at least 90% naturally derived and are certified by the USDA Bio preferred program

They are all 100% vegan and cruelty-free! I can tell you that before these products arrived, I was already very excited because the makeup looks so good on anyone that shows it! I love good, healthy, hydrated skin. I love radiance. Sheen. Some glow. Youthforia enhances all that and is fun to use. So let’s get on with the products so you know what I’ve tried.

PREGAME Daily Protective Primer

When I saw ads for this, it looked like it was a tan/gold tinted primer that might help even out skin tone before putting anything else on. I was only kind of right in that it has a golden sheen to it, but it’s more sheer than I thought. Aside from that though, this leaves my skin feeling incredibly silky and highlights the radiance in your skin with a soft, golden glow.

It’s very emollient and hydrating to the skin. You can use this without makeup on top and still feel like a million bucks with the finish it gives you. Any time I wear this, I touch my face and it feels hydrated and silky all day! I mainly use Makeup By Mario Foundation right now and it looks absolutely beautiful together.

It’s silicone-free and fragrance-free. I found that a little goes a long way. I do believe it creates that protective seal on the skin so makeup stays in place and doesn’t meld with my sunscreen. The packaging says three pumps but that feels like overkill. 1-2 is totally enough for me. If you’re wanting the clean girl no makeup look this is for you. If you want a silky canvas to put foundation on this is for you. If you like your skin to have some highlight or sheen to it — this is for you.

Youth Foria BYO Blush color changing review by iliketotalkblog

BYO Changing Color Blush Oil

This was a super fun product that got me interested. A pH color-changing blush oil that reminds me of those color-changing lipsticks from my childhood. I’d never seen it in blush form, but all the lipsticks mesmerized me as a kid.

Youth Foria BYO Blush color changing review by iliketotalkblog

Youthforia blush oils are formulated with over 20 plant-based extracts to nourish and hydrate the skin. And I believe it! This oil doesn’t has an oily, slick feel, but rather smooth and hydrated. It also doesn’t set quickly, so you have time to blend or smudge out on the cheeks for a natural pink glow.

I apply just a few dabs at a time so I can build the color. The color-changing oil goes from green to a shade of almost hot pink for me ( I consider myself light-medium neutral). There are a few non-color-changing options as well in shades like orange and terra cotta. I really love the finish of this on the skin. If you like luminescent, dewy skin this helps create that look. And it can be super subtle or built up to brighter shades.

I’d love to see them expand the color range on these because they’re fun and I think more people would like to see more colors.

Youth Foria Dewy Gloss review by iliketotalkblog

DEWY GLOSS Hydrating Lip Gloss

There are five shades of Youthforia DEWY gloss and I got the shade Coral Fixation. All of the shades are sheer and have a smooth non-sticky finish. Most have a shimmer element to them, one is a flat, more opaque shade. The wand doesn’t pick up a ton of gloss. I wish it picked up more but I tell myself I am avoiding a mess with the clean wand.

This gloss felt great on my chapped lips and seemed to properly hydrate them through the day. My lips felt smoother with use and I liked the color I got. I could easily use most shades (I don’t usually choose any reds). The formula uses caster oil and their proprietary skin chi complex to nourish the lips.

The Youthforia Skin Chi complex is a blend of 6 plant-based ingredients that hydrate, nourish, and improve circulation. It is found in all of their products.

PREGAME Setting Spray Moisturizing Skin Serum

The name of this product alone made me very intrigued. My skin is normal to dry and I live in the desert. Anything that gives moisture to the skin is something I need to know about. A lot of setting sprays I’ve tried just feel drying and accentuate fine lines. This is the total opposite. As I said in my video, this is a magic mist for the skin.

It has the faintest iridescent pink tint to it to brighten the complexion and that small little hint of pink helps! The mist is nice – I can’t stand it when they sputter. If I could ask for a finer mist, I would — but it works well enough for me. I really think the pink in this really enhances the skin in a nice way.

The formula has skin-loving ingredients like hyaluronic acid, allantoin, and glycerin and it’s fragrance-free. The price is a bit higher than I’d want to spend on a setting spray, but I do love how hydrating this is, and that it helps my makeup in place all day,

Final Thoughts

I’d love to see this brand have the ability to expand its shade range for the blush and gloss. I’d also love to see a tinted sunscreen or some complexion tint as well. I think their formulas are nicely done. They feel elegant and well thought out. The packaging is functional AND fun. The price is up there, but I’ve spent more on other things so really that’s going to be different for everyone. What is a splurge for me, maybe a basic buy for another.

Would you give Youthforia a try? What looks good to you?

  1. Hi, Claudia – I easily get “dewy” so I’m always trying to powder my face. That said, I have more fine lines since a recent illness that I feel like putting face oil on. I love knowing that these Youthforia products are good for your skin. And they have a whole line for just about everything we need. So I’m sure there’s something for everyone to enjoy, myself included! Thanks for sharing your experience with this. It sounds wonderful – Angie, http://www.yourtrueselfblog.com

  2. The packaging, name and clean beauty positioning is perfect. I’m most interested in the blush. I have never seen one like that, an oil that changes color! I would love to try it.
