self care rituals with beauty bridge and iliketotalkblogI think a good part of being happy is knowing when to stop, slow down and take care of yourself. I’ve been practicing some self care rituals with products I got off Beauty Bridge and I thought it would be fun to share some of the little things you can do for yourself that give your heart and soul a little comfort.

self care rituals with beauty bridge and iliketotalkblogI’m a big tea drinker. It’s a great way to get in my recommended water intake, and I always feel better when I’m fully hydrated. I notice when I forget to drink water I think I’m hungrier and more sluggish so I have lots of big mugs and cups and several teas on hand at all time. Aside from tea (and maybe a few squares of lily’s dark chocolate, I like to spend time exfoliating, cleansing and masking so my skin feels renewed. Sunday’s are usually my day to get this important time in.

self care rituals with beauty bridge and iliketotalkblogI’ve been getting more lipstick samples sent to me lately which means I need to up the ante on my lip care. I don’t always feel I need to exfoliate, but lately I’ve been using this JAVA Bloom Lip Duo Rose Lip Scrub & Tinted Lip Balm Set to keep my lips flake free and slightly tinted for no makeup days. Something about pot balms always bring back a little nostalgia to the days when all my lip balms came in tins or pots. While this looks dark in the pot, it’s super sheer and adds just a touch of rosiness to the lips with it’s organic plant-based tint.

I find this scrub to be the perfect amount of grip for the lips, and could only hope that the jar was a just a touch larger since I use it up faster than the rosy lip balm. I should also note that this set is cruelty free and gluten free.

self care rituals with beauty bridge and iliketotalkblogWhat would a beauty bloggers self care session be without a face mask? I’m an equal opportunist when it comes to face masks — I try all kinds! Clay, Peel Off, Wash off, sheet and hydrogels. Before this post, I’d never heard of MagicStripes, but I have tried hydrogel masks before and I think they are some of the best. Sheet masks don’t always stay in place, but the way hydrogel masks are made they just fit so well and the science behind them makes me love them even more. I couldn’t wait to try on the MagicStripes Hyaluronic Intensive Sheet Masks. There are only three in a box so I’ll be spacing these out, haha! These can be a bit sticky and floppy when trying to get out of the pouch but once you have it in place, pure heaven!

self care rituals with beauty bridge and iliketotalkblogI know that my skin is getting all the moisture it can take with these masks. Somehow hydrogel masks really trap in the good stuff so it can absorb into the skin over the 20 minutes or so that I wear it. Not only does your skin feel hydrated from the intensive dose of hyaluronic acid, but helps improve elasticity and firmness with the help of antioxidant-rich Trehalose.

So you see, self care doesn’t always have to mean an expensive day at the spa. Let’s be real, most of us simply can’t do that on the regular. But we can treat ourselves to small things like a cup of tea, a relaxing face mask, and lip smoothing scrubs.

I think we should all get a chance to treat ourselves to some selfcare, which is why I have teamed up with Beauty Bridge to give one lucky Instagram fan a chance to win a $100 giftcard to BeautyBridge.com.  Make sure to visit my Instagram profile later today for a chance to win!

  1. I wish I liked hot tea more but I’ve always been more of a coffee girl! I could use a lip scrub! After having a cold and being afraid to use a good chapstick *avoiding contamination* it sounds quite nice!
