Liquid eyeshadows have been my popular choice in the last few years. The finishes drew me in, and the simplicity of working with them kept me wanting more. It’s so easy to just grab one color and smudge on the eyes for a more polished look.
I keep reaching for the Gen See Mixed Media liquid Eyeshadows over the past year so I thought I’d share the one I have and wear.
Gen See Beauty is a fun, eco-conscious beauty brand that makes high-quality, vegan, and cruelty-free makeup products. Their innovative formulations and stylish packaging appeal to beauty enthusiasts who value both performance and environmental responsibility. They try to source their ingredients responsibly, lean toward ethically responsible production processes, and use eco-friendly packaging to reduce their environmental footprint.
So a feel-good company that has some fun products. No fragrance or nano-particles are used. Now let’s take a look at these shadows.
Mixed Media Eye Shadows come in pint-sized tubes with a doe foot. They come in (7) matte and (5) metallic shades that can be worn alone or blended for customized colors. All can be sheered out for a subtle look or can be layered for a more opaque and potent application.
I do best wearing these as a single color swept across the full lid. Sometimes I use a brush and sometimes I just use my fingers, and both ways come out great. It’s also safe to use as a highlighter for the face and lips and not just the eyes. I find these easy to wash away when it’s time to cleanse.
The Colors
My favorite shade of all is Linen which is a bone color. My lids are darker and this color does a fantastic job of brightening up my eye area without adding any color. The matte has a very natural finish and it helps contrast my lashes better.
The metallic shades are fun and I like to wear those on nights out when I can use a full-coverage metallic. Desert Highway is my favorite out of the metallics and reminds me of an Urban Decay palette I have somewhere in my stash.

My Thoughts on Mixed Media Liquid Eye Shadows
I like that GenSee has stuck with a very wearable color palette. There are plenty of more exotic shades out there, but having a range of neutrals always works great for me and they can still create a beautiful look. Hopefully, they will add more colors in the future if the requests are there.
I’ve had some of mine for a year now and they haven’t dried out because I keep them tightly shut in a dark cabinet. It’s hot and dry in the desert but I do my best to make my products last. After a year of using these, I highly recommend them.
