farmacy honey drop moisturizer review by iliketotalkblogWith Summer here, I like exploring new moisturizers to see what’s better for those hotter months. I tend to generally look for lightweight options in general, while hopefully offering some extra benefits beyond just moisture. When I looked at the key ingredients of Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer from Farmacy I was intrigued to give it a try.

Farmacy produces some of the cleanest skincare products out that that our powered by their special Echinacea GreenEnvy™ ingredient that has over 300% more antioxidants in it compared to similar plants. They like to use natural, and locally grown ingredients when possible, and are environmentally conscious when it comes to their production and packaging. Farmacy is also a cruelty free company.

Honey Drop is a gel moisturizer for all skin types and can be used for both morning and night. It comes in a jar and has a magnetic spatula that sticks to the lid which is super helpful because I always lose them! This superfood powered water-based moisturizer features carefully selected ingredients that help plump, nourish and hydrate the skin. All of their products use Echinacea GreenEnvy™ which hydrates and purifies with it’s antioxidant power for that “glow” were all looking for. It also has a Triple Hyaluronic Acid complex (a favorite ingredient of mine) that boosts moisture like nothing else! Fermented Soy and Cupuacu Butter beads help prevent moisture loss while improving the skin’s natural barrier function. Propolis and Royal Jelly offer their anti-aging benefits in helping with skin renewal for fresh looking skin.

I found myself really fond of that magnetic spatula. Like, news flash, other brands. If you have a spatula — DO THIS! The gel cream absorbed so quickly and I felt like I barely needed any product at all. In fact, I’d overestimate and have to continue to spread down my neck too. I wasn’t too mad about that! I found it to have a very mild scent to it and didn’t interfere with makeup or primers. I really loved the semi-dewy look you can get if you chose to go bare faced. I like a little sheen on my forehead and cheeks. I think it looks healthy and glowy. And if I’m skipping makeup, I want my skin to look it’s healthiest!

I’d easily repurchase this moisturizer again since it under the $50 mark which is the high range of what I’m comfortable spending. This moisturizer, alongside the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm leave your skin incredibly soft when used together. And luckily, both products require very little to be effective! I still have plenty of my cleansing balm that I got back in November!

I’d be curious to try their anti-aging serum and exfoliating grains since my skin seems to enjoy Farmacy products.  You can get Farmacy via their website or at Sephora.com.

  1. That is so smart that the spatula is magnetic!! More companies need to do that. This gel moisturizer sounds fantastic for under makeup.

  2. I’m impressed with the spatula. Sometimes it’s the little things that give a product an advantage. Farmacy has such great reviews and this sounds wonderful for summer.
