Does Summer ever end here in Arizona? It seems right about now (August) the Summer feels never-ending with sunshine and heat that you just can’t hide from. Every trip to the market means getting a little sweaty, and gym sessions are a whole lot sweatier when it’s 100+ all day long. So when Pharmacopia contacted me asking if I’d like to try their products, I quickly agreed because their Argan and Mint line was calling my name.
If you aren’t familiar with Pharmacopia, it’s a women-owned business that offers body and hair products that are better for us, and the environment! Ingredients are carefully selected to avoid anything questionable and potentially harmful to our bodies, like synthetic dyes or fragrances. They use BPA-free 100% post-consumer recycled plastic for their product packaging and use only sustainable materials for shipping. This was one of those brands that were clean beauty before “clean beauty” was a trendy thing. They are also vegan, and cruelty-free.
I really like that their product lines are gender-neutral and uncomplicated. I tend to take up the majority of shelf space in my shower and having products that my husband is willing to use as well is always a plus. He likes the minty, wake-you-up formulas so whenever I see them, I grab it for us both of us.
Besides Mint Argan, Pharmacopia does have other naturally-scented collections like citrus, and verbena if you prefer those more, but Mint is always a winner for us.
Their Mint Argan Body wash produces a nice lather and releases a delicate aroma of mint that blossoms once you start squeezing your shower sponge. The moisturizing body wash contains hydrating certified organic aloe vera juice, as well as certified organic coconut oil, jojoba oil, and the ever famous argan oil. Marshmallow root and chamomile were also including for their skin-soothing abilities which make this a great choice for both morning wake up and evening wind down.
I love following my showers with a good body lotion. Not just because my skin needs the extra moisture boost, but there is something to be said about how relaxing a bath time ritual, like putting on lotion from head to toe, can make you feel. I definitely take my time “getting ready” after a shower because it’s relaxing for me. Also, I love hot showers, you know, the kind that will burn the skin off most men’s backs! And I know that it’s wrong, but I don’t want to be right! Hot showers for life, and I know I’m not the only one who can’t let go of them! So I make sure to use generous amounts of body lotion afterward!
Pharmacopia’s Mint Argan body lotion is the perfect consistency for full-body application. It’s thin enough to spread with ease while feeling nourishing enough to have long-lasting moisture. Shea butter, Aloe Vera, and Babassu oil are the star ingredients here, and are excellent choices. Shea butter can help repair the skin barrier while aloe vera quickly hydrates the skin. Babassu oil offers antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits while also helping lock in moisture.
I think all of us can appreciate it when brands give us products in decent-sized containers. I feel like you get a good value because these are big bottles and two adults are using these! They also look nice enough to be giftable, and you can mix and match with the bars of soap or even hair care products!
